I'd probably be surprised if they attempted to reboot another franchise in a similar vein as Uprising, an Actionized A Link Between Worlds-esque Sabure Prince might be neat... Pac-Man would seem pretty aggressive and debatable as a newcomer, even more so than Mii who seems more like a self-insert everyman...but considering the representation of Animal Crossing and Wii Fit, there could be the allegations that Mii got in just because they're the face of the Wii sub-series other than the WFT, atleast they might have more moveset potential due to the widerange of games they're in and the lack of canon getting in the way, in comparison to Pac-Man.

I expected like, 5 newcomers for the Smash direct, so 1 newcomer and 4 veterans later I'm not getting my hopes up. We're definitely getting at least 1 release date though, right? I wonder how the Smash Bros site will update after the 3DS version releases yet before the Wii U version releases. They kept updating the Dojo after the game released in Japan, after all. I guess they'll show off the Wii U graphics and build hype for the holiday rush?

I hope they don't stretch updates out by showing 3DS things that can be discovered in the first 5 minutes of the game, I'd probably be partial for comparison screenshots or little tidbits on the attention to detail or whatever. if they purposely keep some characters unannounced on the site post-release, I'd probably let that slide. It's like defeating an old game, watching the prologue of where the characters are now (if there is one to speak of) and watching the barebones credits, where you see the words "And you, the player", pretty sure Miyamoto went for no story mode because YouTube spoiled the plot, so for them to avoid revealing characters like Pac-Man makes them secret surprises, i wouldn't give them guff for that at least.

I wonder how much they'll change Jigglypuff. Charizard and Lucario seem pretty much the same excluding Megavolution Final Smashes and some move-rejigging on Charizard. Jigglypuff could easily get a bunch of fairy type attacks but Sakurai's ignored options to give characters interesting moves before (coughcoughRoyandIkehavingrangedattackscoughcough).

What are the times for the Smash stuff? I could be remembering this wrong, but I thought Nintendo is having 2 separate presentations for Smash and other stuff.

I'm not expecting much from Smash but I'm really hoping for them to release the vets. I don't really care for new characters because I want to be suprised when I'm playing. I ruined brawl for myself when they released all the characters on dojo.
