I went to my local best buy but the line was stupid long so I went to Panda Express instead.
I'm not going to be able to resist buying figurines of the big four (Mario, Pikachu, Kirby, and Link) upon launch. Crap, Nintendo is going to steal all of my money when SSB4 comes out.

I think you're forgetting someone

There were like 20 people in line in vermont, all neckbeard scrublords.
I left without playing
also don't really want to play against randos with items on :\
If they make a ness figure I'm buying 30
If they make a ness figure I'm buying 30
pretty much every character that doesn't have any merch is getting bought by me
marth, ness, little mac...
So I played as Sonic, and this is what has changed/same:
* Alt colors are no longer variations of blue, I ended up playing a Silver colored one
* Most of Sonic's A attacks have been reworked, so he spinballs less and actual hard hits now
* Most of his B attacks are are the same (didn't try B down)
* Super Sonic is still his FS

There were 20 people in line and you left?
When I got to Best Buy there were atleast 70 people there, and the line only got bigger. Even if you were playing with Randoms and Items the short wait time alone should've been incentive enough to stay I think.
I don't think I've ever seen Starfox merch my whole life (that wasn't based on now-abandoned internet memes)
I've been looking for at least a decent figure of Fox for a LONG time.

Great. I can't wait for my friends to scream "ITS NO USE" everytime they FS.

I wouldn't care if they were all MLP Brony neckbeards all in Rainbow Dash onesies. 20 fucking people in line and I am going to go all day.
Mew2king was actually up on the stage for a bit but got kicked off by security. :v:
Anyway, it looks like there are Rhythm Heaven enemies in Smash Run. Choir Man confirmed.

I just came back from the event and wanted to announce this, dang, too late.
I went "OH SHIT, LOOK" at my brother when I saw it on the screen. I can see that leak happening.
There weren't that many people so I got to play 4 times 2 matches, so 8 matches on the Wii U version, and in-between I played the 3DS version a lot. I'd say that the game speed is closer to Brawl than Melee. Throwing items seems to be less effective than before, good change. The Smash Ball goes all over the place when you hit it, a lot more than in Brawl.
I tried to get as many smash logo things in Smash Run as I could so I could see which special moves you can unlock. I saw:
-Pit has a side B called "Something Flight", I bet it's gonna work like in Project M
-Kirby has a down B called "Hammer bash"
-Pikachu has a down B that was called someting like "Headbutt"
The rest of the thinks I "unlocked" were trophies (mostly assist trophy models) and powerups.
Also Yoshi was only in the 3DS version, his up B isn't him hitting with his big head anymore, it's a backflip kick. His dash attack was also changed to a kick.
Sonic's neutral B attack can be charged up a little bit. His down B can chain into his B. His side B can also chain into his B and other attacks.
Kirby swallowing Villager gave kirby the default Villager hair.
I just remembered another detail: when you select a character, one of his eyes sparkles on the big portrait.

Why didn´t they let him play too.
Mew2King vs the King of Smash.
Now that would have been a great final match.

I'm probably just going to go online with Villager when the release comes around and keep catching everyone's projectiles before throwing them at others. Something the Villager player at the Invitational never did.
Infact, it feels alot like they basically forgot a lot of their special abilities or smash attacks existed, probably because of the competitive mindset. Thus Megaman's player just kept Side-B'ing and Smashing.

Where I went there were no people in line because there was no line.
Such is the fate of a European.

We wrapped all the way around the inside of the best buy, then doubled back the entire way
I would have killed for a 20 person wait
I don't know about you guys but I'm going for High-Pressure Fludd
Fludd sucked in brawl but the concept of pushing opponents around was fun and if I can send them flying I'm going for it.
So, like some of you, I got to go to Smash Fest. It was an hour car ride to the place, but we all had fun. We got there mad early, and some of our group were the first to go in and play, and me and another friend played in the next set. By the time it started, the line went all the way around the store. After dicking around in the mall a bit and coming back later to see, it was STILL just as long. They even let some people on line play the 3DS version while waiting. I didn't, but my friend did, and he said it handled pretty well.
Funny thing: while setting it up, the employees played a match to make sure it all worked properly, so it was a woman about in her 40s versus a man probably in his 20s. She didn't have a clue what was happening, really, suiciding and stuff, then the match went into sudden death, apparently.
She won. :v:
Anyway, SMASH HYPE
I got to play, was so worth it.
Never seen so many people crowded in line in my area before. Its so cool knowing I live near so many smashers.
Sadly they didn't let me record matches (they wanted emphasis on the players playing but not people recording full gameplay). Pictures were fine, though sadly I could not get any decent ones
Why didn´t they let him play too.

They didn't have anyone on hand to clean up semen.
Unrelated, he kind of looks like Sean Lock.

Fludd didn't suck, it blew... water.
Jokes.
Having the Mario Tornado return and be retooled as a Mario Galaxy Homage actually would've been cool.

doesn't rosalina use that as a move though
i swear its like an aerial or something

In all seriousness tho, those two would have made such a show.

honestly, i've been watching competitive smash for a while and i've never seen any of the chicks that where in the invitational. maybe i just haven't been watching enough tournaments, but i think there could have been better people to invite.
