The fact that they didn´t even bother to research Mew2King and Mango was already screaming "We don´t know much about the competitive scene".
I am convinced that most of the participants were just popular people from social networks, because I don't care if they weren't familiar with the characters, anyone with a history in smash knows how characters in general work, and that girl that played WFT was horrible.

Mew2King would've been great until he does something super autistic and makes Nintendo look laughable; not keeping him in was a better idea honestly. Mango shittalks Nintendo a lot from what I've heard so he's also out.
Even if it was his first time with Sm4sh, Mew2King still could have probably swept the floor with the other players.
I still think there should've been a final round where the winner has to face Sakurai

He was allowed on the stage for the time of a single picture and then he got kicked when he tried to bring his buddy Armada on the scene as well.

I was there.
I surprised that Ness cosplayer when I took out my camera-phone and started bellowing:
"PICTURES TAKEN INSTANTANEOUSLY! I'M A PHOTOGRAPHIC GENIUS, IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF. SMILE AND SAY 'FUZZY PICKLES!'"
We then proceeded to have a lengthy pleasant chat about the Mother series as well as game design and development.

Hold up. I'm actually in that gif, the guy with brown hair looking over the CD racks was actually speaking with me while I was on my way back to the front of the store so I could go home after I got my 2 rounds in. I mean I personally am not visible but people don't hang over CD racks and talk to the air above them.
Also the line is much much worse than what the gif shows. The line actually went [i]outside[/i] and once out there it went all the way down the sidewalk to the Best Buy parking lot entrance.
Man it feels good to have been first in line.

just watched this again, still as amazing and hype as when it was live. i don't care what anyone says about competitive brawl, this is the most exciting set i've ever seen out of any smash game.
