Considering Snake is probably not getting in and yet he had some unique physical moves (i.e. without his explosives) I think alongside new movesets for example Bowser, that Ganondorf might get some moves inspired by Snake.
For example instead of the back hand back-aerial that C. Falc also has, I could see him doing Snake's back-air but also twisting his body to really put his weight into it.
Or for his (Ganondorf's) forward aerial the kick down thing that Snake had, but a full fluid motion (as opposed to that slight delay then thwomp down) with maybe some of his dark power for a multi-hit attack with a soft meteor-smash sweetspot.
Idk maybe I'm just being silly here?

damn, I just realized something: While we probably won't get Duster, we can make a character similar to Duster with the Mii Fighters, we've already seen there's a multitude of kicking moves available for Mii Brawlers

This is really cool. I can see spending a lot of time fucking around with Miis and customizing them. Hopefully you're allowed to use them in the single player modes like adventure and stuff. I know they said you can't play with them with randoms online, but I hope they're allowed everywhere else.

Mii fighters is one of the best things they added to smash.

Why do people think Lucas will be cut?
Honest question. He was one of the more heavily requested characters for Brawl so I don't understand where this keeps coming from. Seriously, if we got a character like Toon Link again, Lucas is basically guaranteed.
Gonna call it now: the only characters cut will be Snake, Squirtle and Ivysaur

Because we don't know if Falco's getting in either. Toon Link got back in because Wind Waker HD was relevant at the time. If Falco possibly got the boot, someone like Lucas might as well. Just as well, unless Nintendo's porting Mother 3 in secret to the Wii U Virtual Console, Mother 3 is basically irrelevant by now and there's not been any sign of Mother representation yet besides the likelihood of Ness' return as a 64 Veteran. Hell, I don't think I've even seen a Mr. Saturn in the demo footage, but it might just not be implemented yet.

People fear that since Ness is seen as the main character in Earthbound, Lucas might get cut because of that. Lucas is really popular in Japan tho, so I doubt it.
Also I´d add Wolf to that list, even tho I´d like to see him return.
What I'm wondering is why people seem to genuinely think [I]FOUR[/I] Fire Emblem characters is even remotely likely. Even three is really pushing it, imo.
This isn't Soul Calibur, we don't need eight swordsmen. They wouldn't even play very differently from the ones we've already had, unless you really want to make some character-bending stretches.
Yeah, the new Fire Emblem may have been one of the most popular in the series, but 4 representatives is a real stretch.
Its just not that big of a franchise.
Even as a fan of the games, I think three is too many. There just isn't much that can be done with swordsmen that hasn't already been done before, possibly done better.
The only major swordsman's art which hasn't yet been represented in Smash is samurai.
