People fear that since Ness is seen as the main character in Earthbound, Lucas might get cut because of that. Lucas is really popular in Japan tho, so I doubt it. Also I´d add Wolf to that list, even tho I´d like to see him return.
Mother 2 is much more popular in Japan than Mother 3 actually
Why do people want/think a singing stick figure from rhythm heaven is going to get into a fighting game.
Mother 2 is much more popular in Japan than Mother 3 actually
But Mother 3 barely has been seen outside of Japan. [editline]16th June 2014[/editline] When I said Lucas was more popular, I meant regions not comparing to Ness.
i hope SSB4 lets you upload replays straight to youtube, and doesn't have a time restriction on replays like brawl did.
Why do people want/think a singing stick figure from rhythm heaven is going to get into a fighting game.
game and watch, wii fit trainer, rob all say hi. the sneaky spirit smashrun enemy says hi too. RH has sold pretty well in all incarnations, it's popular enough, why the hell wouldn't you want it to get some representation
Why do people want/think a singing stick figure from rhythm heaven is going to get into a fighting game.
The reason it's thought that the Choir Men will be added is because the they are among the characters listed by a guy who correctly guessed nearly every single newcomer before any of them announced. Normally I might just say "lucky guess," but accurately getting Little Mac, Megaman, Pac-Man, and fucking Wii Fit Trainer (among all of the other newcomers that he also correctly predicted) is pretty goddamn impressive.
and the one 'vague' prediction of "Pokemon from X/Y" got vindicated by Sakurai's reveal in an interview that they did not have access to finished designs; Sakurai picked what would become known as Greninja from sketches and designed the rest himself. This adds a fair bit of credibility. TBH I love that there's a bunch of otherwise unrepresented franchises getting characters in Smash4. Wii Fit, Animal Crossing, Punch Out and if the rumors turn out to be true, Rhythm Heaven and Xenoblade. It's great that we'll probably get a lot of people interested in these games thanks to their inclusion in Smash.
Am I crazy, or did Rosalina only have three colors? I only saw normal, yellow, and pink.
Green
Im going to love playing as little mac.

G&W is a shapeshifter and can conjure shit out of nothing, and Wii Fit Trainer fights with her fitness techniques. Yeah that's goofy, but her and Little Mac are about as close to human as two fighters can get so yeah not much room for moves there. I'll give you Rob, he's just a toy after all. But a stick figure that sings. Tell me a moveset that could genuinely come out of that on it's own. The only way it could work is if it was like Pac-Man and had tons of different rhythm heaven references as attacks. And what exactly warrants Rhythm Heaven getting a spot? I never hear anyone talk about it. At least moms like the wii fit crap.
How is international release in any way relevant to what I said Ness's is more popular in Japan, where both games were released
What was relevant to what you said is not relevant to what I said. What I meant was that Lucas is more popular in Japan compared to anywhere else in the world, you are telling me that Ness is more popular in Japan than Lucas which is also right.
i came hella prepared for mii fighters i got:
charles barkley satsuki kiryuin waluigi brock (the one from pokemon) hank, bill, boomhauer, and dale macho man randy savage gaben pre-beard gaben post-beard kanye west bill trinen colbert nic cage the rock urkel eminem carl brutananadilewski as well as the following gold pants miis: aonuma filsamech sakurai eguchi nogami itagaki
i am 100% willing to use miis more than most of the other fighters if it means i can finally see if kanye west could beat up charles barkley.

At least moms like the wii fit crap.
g&w was literally made for smash. he's not even a G&w character, he's an amalgamation of a bunch of Game and Watch games. wii fit trainer does the exact same shit as this RH rep would (ie fitness loosely interpreted into a fighting moveset, just as RH would be rhythm/music into a moveset)without resorting to Pac Man style borrowing (which mind you pacman has like 2 moves that do this, the rest are all derived from his actual game). choir kid is a stick figure that sings in the same way g&w is a stick figure that does random bleep bloopy stuff. 'what moveset would it even have' is an awful argument because literal non-fighters like falcon have had movesets given to them. what warrants any franchise getting a spot? Mother is a niche franchise with 3 games that only had 1 release outside of japan, fire emblem wasn't even in the west until it was in smash, ice climbers were pulled out of nowhere etc. you don't need to 'warrant' a franchise getting into smash. just god damn. people talking shit about games they don't play. just another day on the internet.
I don't even think Rhythm heaven is bad. I just don't think it needs to be in a fighting game.

chorus guy is such a bland character design-wise anyway
chorus guy is such a bland character design-wise anyway
Yeah that's my main concern there I guess I'm sure they'd so something interesting with the moveset and all but it just doesn't have an interesting design. But I'll be honest, I've never played rhythm heaven, so maybe someone who has could tell me about it.
i more or less see him being a game and watch 2.0 with unique things from rythem heaven his bland look could make him stand out in contrast with all the nice detail everyone seems to be getting on this
Will they put back the Wii Mii Place (where you can download some cool Mii)
I just want a Rhythm Heaven stage. That would be the bee's knees. A Nintendo Land stage would be cool too.
Lucas is really popular in Japan tho, so I doubt it.
iirc Mother 3 wasn't really too well received in Japan, they thought it was a disappointment & didn't live up to the previous games.
A Rythm Heaven stage could be neat (like the Wario Ware one)
iirc Mother 3 wasn't really too well received in Japan, they thought it was a disappointment & didn't live up to the previous games.
Yeah, Earthbound/Mother 2 was the real shine of the series no doubt.
I was gonna post this last night, but got too tired. Here's the Duster and Flint Miis I made: Of course Duster's hair can't really be made properly on a Mii, and Flint is going to need to use the cowboy hat shown for the Mii Gunner. Also copying should be on, so if you want to make any changes feel free to!
Does anyone know of a good GC controller to PC USB adapter? Not a cheap one, but not too expensive either. Thinking of playing SSBPM online. Does anyone here play SSBPM online?
Isn´t the WiiU adaptor usable on PC?
