Fox's speed looks halfway between Melee and Brawl. I'd... Rather it be closer to the former than the latter, but an improvement is an improvement.
Fox is already confirmed to be top tier due to the fact you can't SDI multi hit moves anymore (downair) and that side-b can be followed up with any move including up b. [editline]16th June 2014[/editline] Also you can't DI throws so upthrow upair is a guaranteed combo now.
Holy shit, really? Fox's combo game is that good now? Having your series-long main go from awesome to garbage to awesome again is a really weird feeling. Either way I'm glad I never gave up on him, because now it looks like it's paying off. [editline]t[/editline] Here's something interesting (if a little out of date) - Smash characters, at their canon scale: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Fz1aiNO.jpg[/t]
Luigi is plank falling that's awesome.

There's also no way that Link, Zelda and Marth are that much taller than Mario, who is officially 5'1''. Dedede also looks too big in comparison to Kirby.
Keep in mind some of them are in the background (slightly higher) or in midair, so the scale for them looks a little funky. IIRC, the size for DK uses Mario Vs. Donkey Kong scale, and Bowser's is Mario Galaxy / NSMB size. The rest, I'm not sure.

[editline]t[/editline] The layering is also somewhat off (Samus' shoulderpiece is supposed to be behind Bowser's claw), making a couple of them look too big.
IF bowser uses galaxy's size, it's wrong mario is that tiny red thing next to that crystal

Also, he said NSMB bowser, which is also the same size as galaxy 1 [t]http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120317182530/mario/images/e/e8/World_8-Castle_-_Bowser_Fight_1_-_New_Super_Mario_Bros._Wii.png[/t]
bowser can secretly change size at any time he wants
Pretty much. He's never really had a set size, and it's always just been how big he felt like being in a certain game.
Characters like Bowser and Donkey Kong have the same size- "Bigger than you."

Bowser, fair enough, that does look about right. My other points still stand though.
Also, if I can say right now on an unrelated note, I really, REALLY hope my favorite song from Uprising makes it in somewhere. Not a remix of it, not part of a medley, just this song straight-up in all its jazzy glory. Chapter 15 is my most-played in the whole game (and my first 9.0 intensity completion) largely thanks to this music track.
For a MOTHER rep, they should add Kumatora tbh
I'm surprised of all the people mentioning characters that might get cut, no one has mentioned Ice Climbers. I don't think that the 3DS can handle 8 ice climbers on screen at 60 FPS, and they're incredibly hard to bugtest and usually end up with an infinite throw of some sort. They have a higher chance of being cut because of this. And don't mention Rosalina and Luma or Olimar, because the Luma and the Pikmin all are much lower poly than the Ice Climbers.
Well I was rewatching the E3 3DS trailer for Smash, and i noticed this: Is this a new branching single player adventure mode?

I'd be surprised if they kept Ice Climbers stuff in the game while cutting the characters.

However, it looks like you can gain different items and collectibles like Trophies depending on the route you take. I mean, this is some Captain Obvious stuff, but it's fresh at least. Kinda hoped / still hope we get an Adventure Mode, even if it's only a linear stage format like Melee, but oh well.
what game is the bottom symbol from?
what game is the bottom symbol from?
Megaman uses the gear symbol in Smash 4.
It's helpful to note that every enemy seen in Smash Run so far is connected to a character we've seen in Smash...except for the polar bear and the sneaky spirit. Take from that what you will.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Fz1aiNO.jpg[/t]
Whoever made this left out a certain Metroid character that is obviously finally going to get his place in the roster.
Well I was rewatching the E3 3DS trailer for Smash, and i noticed this: -Paths pic- Is this a new branching single player adventure mode?
Was wondering when somebody would talk about it. There was also this shot during the trailer: Which makes me think that they're going for a Kid Icarus: Uprising approach of having separate, replayable levels and allowing you to set the difficulty through wagering coins. If that's what they're gonna do, I'm okay with that because Uprising was a great game and the intensity scale and item drops gave it a good amount of replayability.
For a MOTHER rep, they should add Kumatora tbh
No more PSI users please.
Whoever made this left out a certain Metroid character that is obviously finally going to get his place in the roster.
But Ridley wouldn't fit in the picture because he's too big.
I'm very curious about the purpose of this screen.
I'm very curious about the purpose of this screen.
Team tournament or something?
I'm very curious about the purpose of this screen.
I wonder if it's like a 9-stock battle, where you choose 9 characters, and only change characters after yours is defeated. However, the percentages in the pie chart wouldn't make sense in that context, since it doesn't look much like health bars, but more like a scoring system. Edit: and that it's on the top-screen, rather than the bottom screen where it would be in battle.
I'm very curious about the purpose of this screen.
This is possibly the most confusing thing out of that trailer. I only have a vague idea what it is; a way to facilitate up to 36-man tourneys in a concise round-by-round manner. Start with 36 people. Let's say nine players are put on a team. One member of each team gets put in one of nine simultaneous 4 player free-for-alls, and the total score of all the team's players becomes that team's score, with the top player of each team representing the team as its captain, their team's cumulative score becoming their own. The team captains then duke it out in one last bout, with the scores of that round adding to the totals of their respective teams, allowing a skilled team captain to tip the scales in his favor at the last minute and win. The highest score at the end of this final bout decides the overall winner. A 36-player tournament settled in 2 rounds' time.
