Canonically, isn't Bowser Jr. just Bowser from the past brought into the present?

the tornado punch is the sort of thing i don't want to see. they're slapping on random attributes to attacks to make variants. they might as well just let us modify the stats and add on our own effects instead of "fast weak projectile or slow strong projectile", "electric cape or wind cape". there's a lot of potential for really neat things with custom moves and so far it looks like they're only really being used for mii fighters and palutena.
[B]edit: let me put it this way, custom moves are going to be the smash 4 equivalent of brawl's custom stages, in that on paper it's a neat idea but in execution they're just sort of there and most people don't bother with them after a bit[/B]

I love Bowser Jr, but thinkign about it for a bit, I agree.
I want to see a game where Bowser Jr gets fleshed out more as the main child and becomes a chaotic trickster. Like fucks around with Mario all through the game, with a mix of like his slight physical abilities (like just from New Super Mario Bros) and throwing bombs and shit and using wands, throwing a koopa shell, etc. He has a great potential that's wasted, in my opinion.
Plus he could have been a mid-weight character balance between Bowser and like MrG&W for thisSmash Bros iteration if they had fleshed him out earlier.

i really liked baby bowser in yoshi's island, back when he didn't have a voice actor. in fact he's probably my favourite final boss in any game ever. loved his design and his animations, and the fact that he turns huge. but yeah i don't like his modern design at all primarily because of his laugh and his facial expression.. he's just frustrating.

there's something infuriating about that smile.
One of the main reasons why I hate Bowser Junior, other than him being generally annoying and the aforementioned reasons, Shadow Mario was a much cooler villain and could have made for more interesting boss fights.

Bowser Jr. is basically a clone of Bowser, so it makes sense for him and Baby Bowser to look similar.
I wonder if the extra skins like Wireframe Mac will be friend-only, like the Mii Fighters and Custom Movesets.

Quite vital for aerial games IMO; down aerials without fastfalling, back aerials while going forwards and forward aerials while going backwards...

Hopefully there's an option for that. One of the main points of the C-stick is executing smash attacks with absolutely no charging.
