Mario Kart 7 is still very healthy, I can say that much.

To say the least, MK7 had netcode good enough where I never noticed any lag even when playing against european or japanese players - something I would never say about MKDS, which was jumpy as fuck no matter how good your internet was, or theirs.

Nintendo's getting much better with online multiplayer. It's tough to tell whether it's genuinely fast or just has really convincing data interpolation, but I'm impressed so far.

The only 3DS game I've played yet where lag becomes an issue is Kid Icarus Uprising, but only against specific opponents (usually foreign, who I assume live in urban areas or use high-stress public networks)

I'm not too concerned about the 3DS netcode as I'll get to play with IRL friends right near me. Overseas might be a little tougher.

But here's the thing. Sift mentioned Max and it reminded me of a thing he said.

Something down the lines of "Inputting commands have a little starting lag." He followed by speculating that maybe it was for Online, so the connection can catch up to the other players.

Plus, Sakurai has a few people from Namco working with his team. Their games didn't had atrocious netcode from what I have seen.

However, I'll definitely invest in a LAN adapter, just so that I can juice up my connection. It's good wireless but it will be better wired.

I still have VHS tapes of the Super Mario Super Show and that zelda cartoon (Legit ones, not taped).

My mom used to tape all sorts of kid shows that ran on FOX Kids.

I have a gut feeling we are probably going to get Ghostly Adventures Pacman as an Alt skin for Pacman over Ms Pacman/classic Pac Jr (who grew up to be Ghostly Adventures Pacman) though.
