I'd like to point out how strange it is to see some of the Japanese names for some of these characters.
Lizardon, Murabito, Rosetta & Chiko, and Gekkouga are incredibly different from the English name, but Rockman and Koopa I've known for ages so they get a pass.

I wonder what kinda alt moves megaman's gonna get? I hope he gets Knightman's Knight Crusher as a side B, maybe quick boomerang too.
I'm pretty sure we're not getting anything for non-Palutena/Mii characters that isn't "current attack with added effect or modified characteristics". If you can't make it by editing what they already have, it's not an option.
edit: Mind you they've done things like add a tornado to DK's neutral special so maybe we'll get super knockback bombs that deal no damage, or metal blade with metaknight-neutral-special levels of hitstun.

It wouldn't be that hard to give megaman a few unique projectiles, hell he uses the same animation for firing about 80% the robot master weapons in all of his games.
Also damn PSI Guy, and I thought I was cynical.

Besides, Mario has unique looking projectiles for his neutral B variants. He has the same animation yes but unique projectiles, and I think they're gonna want to make at least projectiles look different for gameplay's sake.
I'm just going off the dozen or so special moves we've seen so far. There's, what, the Mario moves which all look to be current moves + modified, DK's tornado punch, Bowser's projectile fire breath, Kirby's ice exhale, Marth's sliding shield breaker, DK's slower headbutt... None of them really introduce seem to radically depart from the moves they're based on. Maybe we'll see more later down on the line but for now I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I can see Lucas being cut and giving all his moves to Ness as custom moves. PSI Magnet sticking out instead of around Ness, PK Fire doing knockback instead of holding them, PK Thunder passing through people instead of doing knockback etc. etc.

Lucas's PSI Magnet is just objectively better though, he turns around if a projectile hits him from behind and it has actual damage/knockback. They should just make Ness's like that and then have some different Mother moves for his Down B, like Power Shield or Counter.
