They could give specific palettes hats, like what Pikachu has. Give Mario a beret like his art from Mario Paint, and put some paint splatters on his overalls. Hell, there's tons of things they could do, the only question is how much of it are they actually going to do.

Well now they can do dlc so once the games out they can continue to make costumes

Anyone think that the Wii U Gamecube Controller Adapter will work on the PC? Even if it doesn't, I think we all know the community will answer that problem anyway. I just read that it's apparently only going to be 20 USD... If so, the controller to go with it will only add up to like 50 USD altogether. Man I fucking love Nintendo.

I don't think a costume of either of Link's new designs (Hyrule Warriors & Zelda U) would be too unlikely, considering they had chosen Greninja to be in the game while Pokemon X & Y were still in development.

If they could make pink sweatshirt Mac an alternate costume, why couldn't they just make Skyloft Link an alternate costume as well, instead of it being a weird recolor?

The pink tracksuit opens up more variants for other characters. I'm just confused by the design decision for Link's alt keeping the hat. It's weird that they chose to keep it instead of making a variant of the model without it. I'll get over it like usually do, I suppose. Maybe I'll even like playing with it. What I did enjoy finding out is that alt colors actually change more then they did before. Link' red variant actually changes his leggings to grey alongside the usual changes to the shield and tunic. And that most characters in the demo had a candy/baby colored palette (I noticed it on Mario and Link)

Oh and while we're still on the costumes topic, the Mii ones will look pretty sick. Those will have so much customizable parts, it'll be insane. I wonder if the whole custom parts thing will be similar to Kid Icarus Uprising weapon craft system. Like, mix two parts to get a similar, more powerful part. Maybe that's where the Intensity seen during the E3 will come into play. More intensity, better parts. Maybe it will open some paths (from that little part of the trailer where Mario walk towards branching paths with different emblems) depending on the Intensity, similar to the Intensity Gates from KI:U.

Doesn't Nintendo know of Project M's popularity? I'd be surprised if they didn't see how much people liked some of their selections for alts.

If we don't get the alt costumes we want from Nintendo, I'm sure Project M is gonna move into Smash4U and just give us what we want.
