When you go talk on a moderately popular channel like GameXplain, you're not going to want to lie to the two cool guys discussing the game with you, nor the thousands of viewers that are going to hear and remember your false claims. A random guy on a message board can just create a throwaway account to post the latest list of ~leaked~ newcomers, but Kirbopher has at least some sort of online reputation that he would probably want to maintain. I obviously don't know him personally, and perhaps proving why he ISN'T trustworthy isn't the best way to prove that he IS, but that's how I see it. Him just making up something on the spot about Kraid and a Kremling boss just for a few giggles doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

The pink jogging clothes in the original were a reference to Rocky, and although they're bright and colourful it wasn't in a flashy way, it was just for his own private training time with Doc Louis. It makes sense to make it an alternate because of how iconic that training intermission is, but it's a bit risky to portray it as Little Mac's "hey everyone, look at me!" because he's not like that. They already messed up a few characters by making them too hammy, I really don't want to see it happen to Little Mac.

Or have Dedede beat the shit out of Samus. I don't think characters being hammy is really a problem.

but stuff like explosive wario farts is exactly what he doesn't want to happen like, everyone's understanding of marth is that he's an effeminate pretty boy, wario is a madman who eats people and farts to fly, samus is pure fanservice etc. just because the game is silly doesn't mean they should totally ignore what each character is like.

Marth isn't supposed to be, in fact he was quite the opposite in every depiction before Super Smash Bros, but for some reason his taunt is literally "Hey everyone, look at me!" Little Mac is just determined to be a great boxer, you can see him in the game turning down big money contracts and shying away from media attention, he ends up retiring purely because he doesn't like it. It's so contrary to the essence of his character for him to be someone that wants all eyes on him. Also I have a serious problem with that depiction of Wario, I'd talk about it again but everyone hates it when I do.

I agree with a lot of other things regarding him though. Though that's ground we've covered many times over. I just don't think we should be taking this series that seriously.
