The one fucking spike in that stage ruined me many times
there's no "envious" rating so have an informative, who was your favorite character to play as? Also how about some more detail on megaman?
I actually only played megaman on the 3DS, but I have to say it controls quite well and I totally disagree with all the people saying the 3DS was a bad platform for smash. it was completely fine. As for Megaman himself, he's good. Unlike any other character really, he requires a totally different mindset to play effectively.

i was actually there with him at the demo. my favourite was probably DK, i've always liked his playstyle and i'd definitely say he got a buff this time around, i can see his new aerial down B, grounded up B and dash being really good for racking up chip damage which wasn't something he could do as easily before. favourite newcomer was villager, surpsingly, i wasn't even that excited to try him but i love him, mostly because his moveset is hilarious.

also yeah i can confirm that the 3DS controls were way better than expected.
wait they have playable demos in Australia?
I'm going to Gamescom this year and Nintendo are supposed to be there
Here's hoping I'll be able to play a smash demo
What is it with making Mario progressively worse through each iteration?

What annoys me most about his Smash 4 incarnation so far is that they kept FLUDD.
Sunshine was barely relevant when Brawl came out and it sure as hell isn't now.
It isn't even a good move, why keep it? The Mario Tornado could even be reworked to be Galaxy-styled, seeing as Nintendo seems to do throwbacks to Galaxy so much now.
or make a mario sunshine inspired moveset
Up+B is Rocket Nozzle
Down+B is Hover Nozzle
Side+B is Jet Nozzle
Neutral B is regular Nozzle
bam hire me nintendo
Replace Mario entirely with the FLUDD. :v:
They could have easily made FLUDD not shit
But they didn't

And for the alternate Bdown they could have done much more, but nope... just small variations.

That scalding FLUDD from his custom moves should've been his default Down B
Just do what the PMBR did with Squirtle's water gun.
Keep it like it is but add damage.
God FLUDD was a horrendous idea, I have no idea how anyone who played Mario in 'extensive testing' was okay with it.
I don't plan on making too much use of custom movesets, but I'm definitely replacing FLUDD with Scalding FLUDD the second I get a chance.
What confuses me the most about them bragging about balance is their priorities.
Like, Bowser's moveset was fine, he just needed a buff here and a little extra 'oomph' there. Instead they totally redo him (not complaining, he looks fun).
Meanwhile, Mario looks to be a port from Brawl, as does Sonic. I mean, come on.
I might have to give Bowser another shot this game. He looks really fun to play this time around, and a lot less cripplingly sluggish.
That was the biggest problem I had with him. His power was fine (in a pro player's hands his charge attacks will put the fear of god into you), but he felt like he moved in slow motion, which limited his potential a lot.
Idea for some options:
Random Character Applied: [before match] / [during match]
This means that when you put your token on "random" at the character select, if "before match" is selected, it will simply move the token to that character and color. This way, if there's a character you really don't like playing as, you can retry, or just change the color if you want.
It'd also be nice if there was a quick menu to change the moveset at the character select screen, and that also has a "randomize" option. I don't know how the custom movesets is going to work, but hopefully it's something convenient that can be changed on a whim like that, instead of being hidden deep in the options screen.
I'm really interested in them showing off the mechanics of stuff like that.
It would be cool if there was an option to randomise your character every time you die in the match.

I'm assuming it's just Nintendo being semi retarded like usual. They always do this kind of stuff with sequels, kinda like in twilight princess they stopped you from using a fairy if your health was full. Then removed that feature in skyward sword.
Seeing so many characters just being ports from brawl has me a little concerned about Wario.
I liked the idea of FLUDD a lot (In Brawl) but the implementation was awful.
The idea of using it for safety was alright on paper but it took too long to charge and then at full charge if you ever got it, it sent them flying.
I think if it charged up at a third of the time and only sent them half the distance it might be a bit better. And when you're using it in air make it become a Hover Nozzle similar to Peach.
Or hell, make Fludd into a BunnyEars-type item. Whomever has it equipped gets the Rocket and Hover Nozzle for a SLIGHT jump increase and a SLIGHT hover that's maybe half the time of Peach's.

Why? Wario was fine in Brawl.
Why? Wario was fine in Brawl.
His forward smash was fucking STUPID and near impossible to hit with.

Here comes another round of Wario Land discussion!
Here comes another round of Wario Land discussion!
I should've known the answer to my question, in all honesty.
In order to prevent a Wario Land discussion, I am changing the subject.
Does anyone think we will get a Hanna-Barbera styled alt skin for Pac-man? For those who don't know what I am referring to:

That hat had better be on one of his alt costumes.
Well, you might get red-hat Pacman considering Sakurai said his in-game design was based off Pac-Land?

Well it looks like Nintendo is an official Sponsor for EVO 2014 (July 11th - 13th). I wonder if there will be a reveal on July 11th.
Also, we got a direct feed trailer for the Japan Expo trailer now:
