But seeing that the dodge mechanic has been buffed from Brawl and that this attack's hitbox is probably very thin, it's probably easy to dodge on the ground. In the air, maybe a special attack like Fox Illusion or a well timed air-dodge could get you out of that. Went back to her reveal trailer and this specific attack barely has knockback and just stops momentum from the opponent, setting it up for a follow-up. It probably has a LOT of telegraphed windup, longer than Lucas' up-smash. You'll see it coming a mile away.

That'd be 1/3 to 1/2 second of startup, and the animation looks like it supports this. She also looks like she's wide open to attack both during and for a notable period after the move is executed. Most of her moves seem to leave her very vulnerable. [editline]t[/editline] I think the tradeoff is ultimately the fact that while her attacks cover a lot of space, and she can fight well from a distance, if a primarily physical foe (Little Mac, Fox, Bowser) starts harassing you, you're in serious trouble. She will most likely be low weight tier, and outside of Warp, Jump Glide, Angelic Missile and Lightweight (which will make her even lighter), she doesn't appear to be very agile.

I'm confused. Is this her B up or A up? If it is her B up, I hope this still works as a third jump in the air.

In KI:U, it significantly increases your movement speed, but under its effects you take several times as much damage from attacks, as well as increased knockback. I'm willing to bet it works the same way in Smash. When used, you move much faster for a while, but you weigh a fraction as much, making it much easier to launch you if you're careless.
