If the Chorus Men get a reveal trailer it better have a bunch of Smash characters getting painfully mauled by random Rhythm Heaven mini-games and everybody is trying to run for dear life
Someone getting thrown at Karate Joe and getting punched
Kirby getting struck by an arrow on the Sneaky Spirit game
etc.

To be honest, I don't want the Chorus Men as fighters. To me that would seem like the first actual wasted slot in a smash game.
Its funny because it proves a robotic double has more chance of actually marrying Peach than Mario does :v:
Seriously though, am I the only one who thinks a Mario game out of that scenario (maybe an rpg ala Paper Mario), having a doppelganger take over his life and you spend the game trying to get it back and prove you're the real Mario would be cool?
So like an extended Doo_liss encounter?
I personally hope it's not Shulk, Chrom or Chorus Men.
[sp]Because I don't know who they even are D:[/sp]
yeah wait, i know what Rhythm Heaven is, but what are the Chorus Men, how would they fit in to Smash Brothers, and what makes everybody think they might be added?

They're these weird-lookin' things, which will only look weirder in 3D. They're part of the leak that correctly predicted ever newcomer except Rosalina, so a lot of people have resigned themselves to the fact that they're pretty likely at this point.

OH SHIT GUYS I THINK ITS MACHO MAN
I'm pretty satisfied with the newcomers that have already been confirmed. As long as we get a good amount of veterans back I'm totally fine with the roster and I'll consider any other newcomers a bonus, regardless of who they are.

In addition to the leak, the fact that Sneaky Spirits from the same game appear as enemies in Smash Run.

the chorus boys aren't really that much weirder than ice climbers or wii fit trainer getting in imo, rhythm heaven could use some more representation in smash bros and they have the potential to be really unique characters
If Chorus Boys are added, I'm maining them. I love the idea of a rhythm based character.

I could easily see this as the plot to a future M&L Game, like Mario and Luigi: The Devious Doppelganger.
If the leak is true, it strikes me as somewhat odd that they would reveal the newcomers in this order.
I mean I can understand opening with a couple of heavy hitters, but to reveal the likes of Megaman, Villager, Little Mac, Pacman even the Miis all building up to the rather disappointing conclusion of several low profile characters - it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Usually you want to go out with a bang, not with a fizzle.

The first reveals for Brawl revealed Metaknight, Zero Suit Samus, Wario, and Snake.
The last were Wolf and Toon Link.

Oh I'm not saying it couldn't happen - I'm just saying it's an odd choice to make.

If they didn't generate major hype at the beginning, no one would be as interested.
The way they're generating hype is by it slowly getting closer to release. They're using weaker characters as sort of mini treats for the big treat at the end.

Chrom is the lead guy from the latest Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem: Awakening. He is also a descendant of Marth.

Shulk is the main characters from Xenoblade.

I really don't understand where this prediction for Chorus Men is coming from (unless it's from that lame 3DS 'leak'), considering they seem to be only a very small part of Rhythm Heaven.
It seems to be most likely that Shulk will be revealed on Monday. This makes sense due to him being a popular choice by fans and having a more recent/relevant title, compared to Golden Sun, for example... The character announcement news retweeted by Monolith seem to be supporting this as well (unless it's common for all companies associated with Nintendo to retweet smash bros. news)
I rather see Ridley announced than Shulk, but I'm thinking they would leave that announcement further down the line since that character would leave the biggest trail of hype imo.
Then there is Chrom, which seems to be the most likely addition to the roster than any other newcomer, which kinda makes his announcement have less hype value. Also the fact that Emblem characters can seem very similar to each other to fans that are unfamiliar with the series. If I were to leave some characters as a surprise after release, Chrom would be one of them.
I think it makes so much sense to put K Rool in, but considering he wasn't in the last DK game, he sadly wouldn't strike up as much hype as I think he deserves. I really hope to see him as a newcomer non-the-less.
Well, there are Kremlings in Smash Run, so a K.Rool revival could be there, paving the ground for their return to DCK...
Then again, they made Cranky playable in the latest one, so that series doesn't quite follow conventional logic.
There is literally no reason for K. Rool not to be playable in this game
Here's hoping Simon Belmont is confirmed.

you kind of do that in paper mario ttyd
What if we get to see a confirmed returning fighter in this new trailer in addition to the newcomer?
[sp]I hope it's captain falcon.[/sp]
To be honest, I don't want the Chorus Men as fighters. To me that would seem like the first actual wasted slot in a smash game.
But they could have really unique moves and an interesting playstyle.
Look at what they did with Ice Climbers and Wii Fit Trainer and Villager.
So even if "nearing the bottom of the stash" means they have three more reveal videos, that would total 12 newcomers in this game.
It's not an underwhelming number at all, but Brawl had 18. Technically, every game up until now has had more newcomers than its predecessor (14 in Melee, 18 in Brawl), so this is a change in pace for sure. I guess we're having more characters sticking around from the previous game this time around, so it's natural that the leap in newcomers is smaller.
They can still add characters through DLC though.
If that one Nintendo Rep leak is to be trusted, K. Rool will be a boss in Smash Run alongside Kraid. As much as I'd like him playable, that makes more sense.
I always thought Shulk was a term for shiek used by the competitive fanbase of smash bros.
so whens ninja theory's dante going to be annouced?

He may have a bad name, but he's a really good character and I'd love to see him in smash
Either him or Riki
