Holy shit John Cena joined WWE nearly 13 years ago.
It really has been a decade since I watched wrestling.

Is his final smash the other players getting prank called and having his theme play really loud when his name is said?

No, they're forced to watch movies he's been in.

What's so bad about that then?
Ah, yes, Ridley would never fit in with all these characters' consistent themes.
Just look at Cartoony Italian Man, Realistic Elf-Man and my personal favourite, 2D LCD Man!
Hey, wait a second...
Name one other character that looks like it's body went through a paper shredder with bones sticking out of it.
[sp]You can't[/sp]
Edit: Just to be clear I don't judge people who want Ridley, I just think he'd look extremely off compared to the entire rest of the cast no matter how much you compact and mash him.
Aww I'm leaving an hour before the stream. I'm probably gonna miss it :(
I wonder if the Nintendo site lets you stream from phones.
All those feels over Prog's retirement. Trying to hold back the tears.

I like that somewhat-subtle Falco behind Chrom.
You know what I want to see someday in Smash? A full-fledged dedicated grappler.
Powerful standard throws, command-style grabs as special moves that also work in the air, the whole deal. I wonder what character would fit that role.
Bowser?
Koopa Claw and Flying Fortress function similar to grabs. He's big and burly and looks like he can tank a few hits to get in close with armor or superarmor (which we know he has on several moves).
I don't think a dedicated grappler will work out super well in Smash as it's a different style of game from arcade fighters. Shielding is the only way to mitigate damage without outright dodging it, grabs can't be evaded other than by running away, whereas other fighters you can tech out of throws or have moves with throw immunity, Smash doesn't have that so it'd be a more-difficult sell.
It's doable yes but it seems like a much larger check to try cashing than making a dedicated close-range fighter with some grabby moves and armor much like Bowser is now.
I don't care about Mango, this Pikachu is my new hero

no excuses (apparently some guy named john went to a tournament and every time he lost he'd make up a shit excuse, not really 100% sure tho)

You're saying a character with moderate speed and weight that can A: Legitimately chain a grabthrow into a different grabthrow, and B: Execute a command grabthrow in midair and chain those as well with good timing... Would add NOTHING to Smash?
I'm not suggesting a grabby grounded character cut straight from another game, I'm talking a decently agile (and actually mostly aerial) grappler, with solid combo potential in each of his grabs.
[editline]t[/editline]
As for your remarks, since the command grabs are special (B) moves, they could be shielded against. Only standard grabs would get through shields, which would require this character to execute one in order to break the foe's defense and set up for an aerial command grab. There would be quite a bit more strategy involved than you think, particularly regarding directional throws leading into eachother, setting up ground to air, using midair command to launch or ground a foe...

So more info about tomorrow's reveal- the only things the developer of Xenoblades has RTed this entire year have been the directs announcing both Xenoblade Chronicles, and the tweet about the new smash character on monday. Seems like evidence is piling up.

Oh, the reveal's tomorrow? I coulda sworn the announcement was tonight. Maybe I misread!
Since the stream has 12 hours remaining, it's easy to tell when the stream will be tomorrow. 9 AM for me, gonna go to bed early for once in my life so I don't miss it.
