tbh i don't mind if they had costumes and clones etc on the scale of lucina. we're getting tons of fanservice this game; palettes like America Mario, Skyward Link, and costumes like genderswaps/pink hoodies

It's just weird to have clones like this, especially when we have custom movesets in the works. Either way, though, I'm happy today. New characters, Captain Falcon, and more hype for both series.

Can we please just stop arguing about this? She could be a clone, she could be an alt costume, until Sakurai says which one she is, no-one knows for sure. There's no point in this constant bickering over it.

Either way, she's clearly not a full-fledged newcomer since all her shown fighting animations are the same as Marth's and her catchline had question marks on the end. We'll find out. You do not work on the game, you do not know for certain whether she is a clone or a costume. Anything is possible. If you want to say that's wrong then you are either a idiot or trolling. There really isn't a opinion stance on this.

I find it strange that there's been no official reveal page for Mr. Game and Watch, even though it was featured with Pac-Man in his trailer. I guess I don't see how this is any different to Captain Falcon in this most recent reveal.

To get away from this debate, just how many more reveals do you think we'll get before release? The Jap release date is only ~2 months away so I imagine we could get at least one more.

You do not know for certain whether or not she is a clone or a costume, to state otherwise is lying, as you clearly do not work on the game, and would not have access to that information.

I would love a majora's mask Link ,but they already put in the Toon Link and deleted the multiple characters in one capability (Pokemon trainer)

To me, Chrom and Lucina were fighting for the same spot, whatever Lucina gets Chrom would have got if he was in instead. It would have been incredibly difficult to give them a unique moveset, considering Marth and Ike both get 12 customizable moves. At this point, I don't care now that we have Robin, Lucina is just icing on the cake.
