yeah, just sorta remembered it right now. my bad.
I just wish that these clones become actual variants of the originals. Something that gives them a feel that they aren't worse or better, just different.
Pretty sure custom moves for Link and Toon Link will be different. But I want them to play differently. If Link is a semi-powerhouse, cut down Toon Link in power and knockback by giving him speed, or something along these lines, with other surprises, like little reach since his small. A bit like Mac is. Fast but short reach.
Same goes for Lucina, if she really is a clone of Marth with different stats. But she could also be the "female Marth" with her own slot.
I mean, if we think about it, she's the first of the "gender-swaps" clones to have her own personality and character.
Little review:
-Female Villager is simply a gender option in her game.
-Male WFT is simply a gender option in his game.
-Mii are simply gender options.
-and finally, Female Robin, is nothing but a gender option in FE:A.
All these have the same personality not matter the option you pick.
It wouldn't make sense to make Lucina the genderswap of Marth because she isn't! So she's still representing her game in the series alongside Robin, with her own slot and still be considered an alt for Marth without being listed as one.
AKA Lucina is probably a pure "gender-swap" clone of Marth, like Villager, WFT, Mii and Robin have one, except because she's her own character in her game, they gave her a slot for herself.
That's how I see it.
ugh I have no idea who the two newcomers were :v:
I don't care if Captain Falcon is "anime", at least he doesn't act like it.

I just remembered a few moments ago that she will probably get her own Amiibo figure, to make that work and not confuse players/buyers she could very well be in her own slot despite playing the same as Marth.

I don't see how people like marth "act anime"
If it's because he has blue hair and fights with a sword, captain falcon is literally in a super sentai outfit
Where is the damn Mr. Game and Watch reveal. I will be incredibly saddened if he doesn't make it, I thought he was one of the most intriguing characters in Smash Bros.
I know he was in the Pac-Man video, but that didn't actually confirm him as playable.
I predict Star Fox getting 4 reps.
The whole anime debate is really dumb tbh

They wouldn't reveal Mr. Game And Watch when he's been in the series before.
I'm 99% sure he's still in game, because he's an interesting concept. He'll probably be a post-launch reveal though.
3, the same as brawl
I predict Star Fox getting 4 reps.
please no
I think the proper term here is "remix character"

Honestly, I am ok if we get Krystal as a character, or even as an AT.
We need more females characters in the game, and it would be pretty neat for a character who uses a staff for melee combat mixed in with a few psychic abilities thrown in for good measure.
I know my opinion might be unpopular, but I am ok with it.

I would way prefer another rep from f-zero (black shadow) or earthbound rather than a fourth starfox character, I don't think any starfox characters other than the three that we already have really deserve to get in either
please no
I hate Krystal, but on the other hand i would like to see what kind of shitstorm her reveal would create.
The internet would immediately shutdown, calling it.
This sums up Chrom fans pretty good!

Females? Yes please. I think Smash is already headed into a great direction regarding females. They could've added Chrom, the main support to the titular character, but they chose Lucina instead. Neat choice!
However... Krystal? Naw.
obviously they should add The Boss
How many notable Nintendo female characters are there?
Like, specific names, because I don't really know.

Well there is Dixie Kong from Donkey Kong Country.
I'm down for more Starfox reps. Make way for Slippy everybody!
And old man Peppy too!
One neat thing about custom movesets is that if Marth and Lucina play too similarly, we can always mix up Lucina's specials to differentiate her from Marth a bit more.

Someone noticed that Robins tomes have different markings on them depending on which tier he uses, so it looks like charging is out of the picture. Also how do you suppose Robin if he tries to recover when he runs out of tomes?
Edit:Also note how Robin switches from Arcfire to Arcthunder without visibly doing anything

it is pretty obvious they are trying to balance it out a little more, brawl had something like four or maybe five lady characters, smash4 has twelve counting alts and transformations and half of the newcomers so far are female or have a female option

Im pretty sure game and watch is basically confirmed at this point thanks to the pacman reveal trailer.
