The only issue I've had with clones was Fox, Falco and Wolf all having the exact same Final Smash.
I remember when Brawl first came out, and I saw that all three of them had the same final smash. I literally thought, "This is Valve tiers of laziness."
I don't have a problem with Fox/Falco/Wolf, except with their Final Smashes.
The only clones I have problems with is Captain Falcon/ Ganondorf. For the other clones, it makes sense since they're similar characters in a similar world. Falcon and ganondorf, though? The only reason why they're clones was probably because of time. I hope they change him up this time.
I still think they need to drop one of the Star Fox characters, most likely Wolf.
We can't have 3 characters come from a series where the last REAL game they had was a 2006 DS game, let alone have all 3 of them be pseudo clones of each other. I know people don't want to see a character go, but with all the potential characters that can be in Smash, I think Goku or Geno at this point has more of a reason to be in Smash than someone like Wolf

But Star Fox Wii U is a thing.
Whilst we're on the subject of clones, I've realised something.
Lucina is a Marth clone whose attacks' sweetspots are more focused the middle of the blade rather than the tip.
She actually sounds a bit like Roy 2.0, though not by much.

If Fox/Falco/Wolf can help promote Star Fox U next year, then I'm all for them becoming apart of the roster.
You also can't forget that this game is gonna be a lot bigger than Brawl- I don't see any "wasted" slots, especially since they're keen on adding a lot of costumes. The lack of a big story mode may be apart of this, I think.

Comments like these sum up everything that is wrong with the MLP fandom at the moment. Not everything needs ponies. Also, I hope they do more shorts like these, since this was hilarious.

There's a dick joke to be made here with that misspelling.

It's relatively well established at this point that Youtube comments are terrible. You really don't need to subject yourself to them just to give us a reminder.
I hope Captain Falcon is a starter like in Melee. I want to Falcon Punch in HD (or 3D, seeing as the 3DS version is coming first) as soon as I get the game in my hands.

Ganondorf was a clone because his body shape was identical to Captain Falcon's.
While clones do share the same moveset as another character, the minor variations in their attacks changed how you used said attacks. That combined with different movement speed, jump height, and weight makes them sufficiently different characters. Since people have grown accustomed to their Melee playstyle, Sakurai made returning clones in Brawl semi-clones like how Luigi was in Melee (a few completely different attacks, drastically altered specials, etc). This not only satisfies those who liked them in Melee, but also refines their existing playstyle while giving them their own sort of individual flair.

I understand that, but I still feel it's a wasted opportunity.
I think I have to agree, they probably won't get rid of his moveset. I dislike that, but I guess his final smash is cool enough.

It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.

Bad posting on my part, I meant to agree with you on Ganondorf being a clone. He should have been a caster like Zelda or Ness. But I do like him how he is now too though.

Ah okay, yeah. I do agree his moves in Brawl were a lot better for his own character, but I would love to see his alternate moves be moved to Falcon and his actual moves be as a caster. Oh well.
Would be cool if he had a reference to Wind Waker and used dual swords for an ability or two.
I really hope we get a new F-Zero stage this time around, preferably Casino Palace.
It would be cool if he used a sword. Like, at all.

Another swordsman?
it would be cool if he was just the triforce ganondorf mod
I bet/hope that Link will have the spinner and Toon Link will have the Deku Leaf as alt up-b moves. Different alt moves would be a nice way to differentiate them.
at least make it so ganondorf can hit link in the face with his balls
of magic
