So Ubisoft posted an image of the Rayman trophy is a slightly different pose:

Does this mean that trophies are slightly animated this time around?
Here is the original image for reference:

Most likely different versions of the model, one more recent than the other.
Would it be a reasonable conclusion to assume that all veterans from Melee that made it into Brawl will become mainstays for the franchise at this point?
has anyone else bought the smash t-shirt that was advertised on their facebook page or am i gonna be the only n8rd who's gonna wear it?

I'm remaining hopeful for Ice Climbers.

they even said that they got a 3d reference model directly from ubisoft, so it's has to be that
I could see some trophies having subtle idle animations rather than being perfectly stationary. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me.
Rayman there would be struggling to hold that pose, blinking, looking around and fidgeting a bit.

Mii fighters eyes at the top of the page. Cripes.
That kirby hat looks fantastic.
Translating is kinda rough but apparently Lucina's side taunt (or up) lets her put on the mask. Do it again to take it off.
Is there a translation yet?

Sounds like what they did with squirtle in Project M.
Working slowly, nothing that's terribly unknown so far.
Robin's down b does more damage if you hit people from behind apparently (and saps more health).
His Up+B is Elwind which lets him fire projectiles downwards to launch himself
He has air smash attacks, if you attack normally it doesn't count to the levin sword hp, but if you do a smash you add electric damage

Ooo, I like that! Is it purely visual?
What other character would something like that work with? Maybe Samus putting her visor up/down?

It doesn't say, I assume it's just visual though as it's just kind of a "you can do this"
Edit: To bring it all around Sakurai originally planned on making Lucina a alt costume for Marth, but wanted to make her her own slot as time went on and ended up doing just that. :v:
isn't this made by the same guy who put huge tits on genderbent tf2 characters
WOW that escalated quickly.
Who do you even mean?
Ness would probably be announced at Comic-Con or TGS.

If you mean a dude named Matsu-Sensei on DA, then yes, it's the same dude. Goes by the name of Graphite-Knight too.
Also that Lucina taunt thing reminds me of the whole Guile thing in SF4. It's a cute little detail.
I love cute little details.

Lucina- She has the exact same set of special moves that Marth does, but like the game's director Masahiro Sakurai explained, the main difference between Lucina and Marth is that the former's moves will do the same damage regardless of which part of her blade hits, whereas Marth's attacks will only do maximum damage if the tip of his blade brushes the opponent.
One very important detail that both the character reveal trailer and Sakurai left out, however, is that you can actually start a match as Lucina with her mask on. In fact, Lucina has a taunt that lets her put on or remove the mask, in a similar fashion to Guile's "sunglasses" taunt in Ultra Street Fighter 4.
Captain Falcon- It would appear that not many changes have been made to Captain Falcon's move set from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He still has the Reverse Falcon Punch from Brawl.
Robin- Famitsu also provided a very detailed rundown of Robin's special moves in the game.
Forward Smash- This move strikes your opponent with Robin's Levin Sword. However, as you can only use Robin's Levin Sword attacks a certain number of times, once you've run out of uses, this attack will hit with a regular bronze sword instead.
Forward air attack- When performing this move, if you were to smash the analog stick in the forward direction, Robin will attack with his Levin Sword for additional electric damage. But like all of Robin's Levin Sword attacks, you can only use the improved version a finite number of times.
Down+B: Nosferatu- Purple-black smog in the shape of a snake appears right in front of Robin when this move is used. If your opponent is hit by it, he or she will be "cursed" by the spell. When a cursed opponent is hit, Robin's health meter will recover. What's also interesting is that if the cursed opponent is struck from the back, the amount of health Robin recovers will be larger.
Neutral B: Thunder- Hitting the button once will activate a charging period for Robin's Thunder spell, and hitting it again will cast it. The amount of time Robin charges will determine the version of the spell cast (Thunder, Elthunder, Arcthunder, or Thoron).
While charging, you can also hit the shield button to cancel the move and store the charge -- the next time you hit the B button, Robin will resume charging from wherever you left off previously.
Up+B: Elwind- When this special move is performed in the air, Robin produces two green projectiles that he sends flying downwards, which simultaneously propels him upwards. However, you can only use this move a limited number of times. Once you've exceeded the number of uses, Robin will not produce the projectiles or jump higher.
Side+B: Elfire- Robin produces a projectile that flies diagonally downwards. When the projectile comes into contact with the stage, an opponent, or an item, it will generate a pillar of fire that spreads upwards, and deal damage to anyone caught in the flames.
So, as someone pointed out elsewhere, what if Lucina's addition was because of another (unannounced) character suddenly having to be cut? It's possible that they were out of nowhere no longer allowed to use someone they had planned to.
They still wanted the same number of fighters, and it's too late to make another one from scratch, so they took an existing model of her (possibly trophy), used Marth as a template, and altered the mechanics to create a new character in very little time.
So... If Robin doesn't kill you quickly, you get a weaker opponant? Like a reverse Lucario? Sounds like it would be hell to keep track of in the middle of a fight.
So basically, Lucina is an easier Marth to use?
I thought she would have something different to her. Something else than just sword control and spacing. Tho when I think a little deeper, spacing is Marth's key to success so that his opponents are unable to land hits or grabs.
Plus, Lucina being an easier Marth is shown with her recklessness agaisnt Cpt. Falcon in the trailer. She just dives in like an unexperienced fighter, while Marth knows his shit and keeps his distance.
But maybe she has more that Sakurai didn't unveil. Sakurai loves secrets.
Robin seems really fun, but I'm worried about the 'use tomes a certain number of times' thing. If I have to micromanage what attacks I have left and how many times I use them, that sounds ballbreaking in such a fast-paced game. If that's just fluff, then Jesus, don't scare me like that.
I think it's going to be like snake's side-b in project m, you use it a bunch of times then you have to reload it which takes a bunch of time
Also I hope Lucina doesn't suffer from Roy syndrome when it comes to her modified hit detection.

Roy's hitboxes were the fucking worst
man robin looks mad fun to play possibly my favorite newcomer so far.
and with lucina i could never get marth with his tip sword play so this might work for me.
i love the mask taunt idea

Not pictured: Falco is still able to grab Roy from that distance.
