The vast majority are still veterans though. There's only 11 newcomers announced so far. And it's likely that a few characters get cut, especially Snake and Wolf.

the problem wasn't that he was too similar to Fox, because he was the least similar of all, it was that he was the third character to fill the a similar role. removing him still leaves Falco, who is essentially a clone, so something has to be done to keep variety

i still have no idea who wolf is
i dont think star fox needs a 3rd rep, 2 characters with similar playstyles is enough
if they drastically change their playstyles ill be all for it though
