Similarity isn't going to be an issue here (see Toon Link and Lucina). Maybe you just don't like Wolf.

What's with this sudden influx of people coming into the thread and discussing the new game despite knowing nothing about it?

Wolf shouldn't be cut. He is Foxes rival, thus making him more important than falco. Falco is a badass don't get me wrong. However I would rather see him cut than wolf, because Wolf is one of the most recurring antagonists in the starfox series. The best case scenario is neither of them are cut, and have a tweaked moveset.

If Wolf gets cut, we need a new Star Fox antagonist. Andross confirmed for playable.

I don't play Falco much, but I when I did the first time I felt cheated because in the subspace emissary he dual wielded his blasters and I thought "Oh sweet! I can't wait!" only to find out he just uses the one gun. So Sakurai, any chance we can get this in game this time around? I'd love it if both Falco and Wolf stayed. However they would seriously need to give them different final smashes

I doubt that either would get cut, I think if fire emblem can have four characters star fox can easily have three and having less characters from a franchise than a previous game in the series would be silly

Every time people have been certain somebody was to be cut they've made it in. I think Snake and PK Trainer will be the only ones to be phased out this time. That's only because transformation characters have been phased out (PK Trainer) and Kojima said no(Snake).

Real talk: If they bring Mewtwo back and his caption doesn't say "MEWTWO STRIKES BACK!" I will slap somebody

He said he hadn't heard any information. Definitely doesn't bode well for Snake's chances - but it's not an outright no.

Snake is the only character I'd be happy to see cut. I like Metal Gear Solid to be as far away from me as possible. yea i sed it fite me irl losers

He looks so beefy, it's incredible.

Kojima saying he doesn't know doesn't mean anything really. In the case that Snake is actually in he wouldn't just come out and say "yes." If he actually doesn't know... we have no way of knowing at this point.

If Snake were to get in the only true way to reveal him would be to put him in the final trailer and have it reveal that he was actually in every single trailer on reconnaissance
