Would laugh if suddenly "yeah Snake is in" with a reveal of Big Boss.
Actually thinking about that if any "Snake" is in, the others could be easy potential alt costume candidates.
I'd like if snake was an unlock character and made a surprise since we need some surprises when the game is out.
I wonder if they're going to keep a simple, classic "Challenger Approaching" screen for this upcoming Smash Bros.
It would be very cool if they were to include a short, animated cut-scene, with your fighter discovering the character you're unlocking after the "Challenger Approaching" screen appears.
I remember my first "Challenger Approaching" screen back on the N64, man was I excited when I saw it, I hope they'll bring it back.

Imagine if Snake, Mewtwo and Ridley were all made secret unlock characters.
The excitement it would generate when they were discovered would be insane.

Or, use the character reveal splash they've been using, just make the character a black silhouette and replace the reveal text with "CHALLENGER APPROACHING !!"

In a future game, I'd love to see each unlockable get their own brief cutscene - like the first half of the Megaman reveal - after "challenger approaching" and before the fight itself. That'd be so goddamn hype.
I'm still hoping for a badass intro like Melee's
Snake is a bit of a logistics nightmare.
You'd want to record new dialogue for him (because of the Codec calls). Do you get Hayter in to do it? That sort of goes against what the series is doing trying to establish a new actor in the role.. Do you get Keither to do it? I doubt he'd want to and he'd up the budget considerably. You could just re-use his sounds from the last game I suppose but you'd get no new codec calls which is a big shame.
I assume they wouldn't use Solid Snake anyway but instead Naked Snake as he was the last Snake to appear on a Nintendo console (one that featured on a Smash4 console too). I imagine the 3DS version will get a MGS3 level to go with him. Though all Snakes could make for great alternative costumes.

As long as it's Big Boss and not Solid I'm fine with the voice being Kiefer.
I wouldn't mind Raiden tbh but the only moveset I could imagine on him would be basically Ike's tbh

not at the expense of a real Snake, obviously
So it looks like Super Smash Bros for 3DS will get an E10+ rating: http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/zC34HnrON-_wV0ZUkSfQFC6ub3Ea8DQ6
rip Snake (Technically, he was in DreamMix TV World Fighter with a CERO rating of all ages)
Snake wasn't what caused the rating for Brawl to be higher. According to ERSB it was "crude humour" like farts and that. The other thing that boosted the ERSB rating for Brawl was the potential for people to create rude content online.
Snake used explosives and martial arts. His moves were really no more violent than Samus.
Word has it Melee was rated T because of Giga Bowser.
(E10+ was not a thing until 2004, but Melee came out in 2001.)

I could see Raiden using grenades and missile launchers

Didn't they give ZSS a ten second long ass shot in the Subspace Emissary as well?
I always thought the T rating was because of ZSS implied sexiness, Snake's use of realistic weapons and possibly Wario's flatulence...unless the ratings are purposely low to avoid any specific references to anything that might spoil something. like if it said anything like "contains realistic blood" think they'd be talking about Castlevania or Bayonetta...how about bosses that normally bleeds like 02 in the Crystal Shards and the injured [sp]Mirror Meta Knight[/sp] in Kirby Triple Deluxe as mythology references?
EDIT: Also, Zero in Kirby's Dream Land 3.

Argh, an extended look at the female glutes, my ten-year-old mind hath been eternally poisoned.
-snip late sorry-
My least likely return characters are Lucas and Snake at this point.
Which Amiibo figures are you going to buy guys? Will you try to collect them all?
I think I'm going with Donkey Kong first, since it's the only character I like that is both in SSB and Mario Kart 8 (which is planned to include amiibo functionality)
as long as they're not too expensive i'll probably end up buying them all
I'll probably go with a Link Amiibo first since he is my main and I'm just a fan of the Zelda series in general.

best amiibo hands down, of course.

I'm guessing $15 maximum.
On Smash Bros' official FB, it seems they're coming to Comic-Con and they might have more reveals there.
spider-man confirmed
I might go for Link or Zelda but as soon as Luigi is available, I'll get it for sure.
Especially since it's Michael Jackson Luigi Amiibo.

spiderman's final smash has him go super saiyan pls sakurai
I'm honestly glad CoroCoro didn't leak the entire actual roster. It would've spoiled the hype for me so badly.
I sincerely doubt that Sakurai would let something that huge just "get out" on it's own though.

I want another Nintendo Direct so we can get new ''gif worthy'' moments from Sakurai.
