I don't expect much specifics so soon.
Maybe weekly, but I don't think it's far enough in development for them to do daily information releases.
Cross platform play isn't possible if the stages are different.
Even though that is very likely and you're probably right, maybe they're being dicks and what they mean by "Exclusive Stages" is just that on the 3DS it looks different but has the same layout compared to the Wii U version, and when you connect them together what you see on the 3DS is the 3DS version and what you see on the TV is the Wii U version.
I hope it's not real but that's the only thing I can think of.
Edit:
Basically what I mean is that in the Wii U version and the 3DS version there is a map that takes place on a train.
If you play the 3DS version of that train map, you see a Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks design, but if you play on the Wii U version, you see a Star Fox 64 design.

The stages look disappointingly small.
If they actually go through with that, and give either version exclusive content, i'll most likely just not buy either.
There is no way i'm going to support that kind of assinine shit.

man how dare two different versions of a game have content exclusive to themselves! it's almost like they aren't compatible so there's nothing stopping them from tailoring stages specifically for them!
man the nerve of these developers
I honestly cannot understand what you're whining about.

I'm whining about the possibility of them making Smash another Pokemon where the content is split between two games.
I hope Ganondorf gets a moveset that's more based on the games he's from and not "dark captain falcon"
i'm beating all of the cpus' asses as him
i think i like villains
also 1000th post
yay me
Black Shadow for heavy Falcon clone. Ganondorf for original sword and magic moveset.
Black Shadow for heavy Falcon clone. Ganondorf for original sword and magic moveset.
Yeah.. I would not mind if Ganondorf gets a new moveset while his old playstyle is given to Black Shadow, at least he would make sense as a Cpt Falcon clone
There is no emotional attachment to those characters. If they could do something like they did at start of Metroid Prime 3 and not kill them all off, we might have characters we would care about.
Never forget the lost opportunity:

Too bad Nintendo, particularly Sakamoto, like to pretend the Prime Trilogy never happened. Which is funny because I like to pretend Other M never happened. :v:

I've also noticed some people saying they want Toon Link/ Young Link back, but am I the only one who would prefer a different Zelda character like Skull Kid (wearing the Majora's Mask)? That would be so badass and unexpected.

This picture makes me really glad that they finally stopped trying to make Mario's overalls look as over-detailed as humanly possible.

I kind of liked Mario's over-detailed pants as a sign of Super Smash Bros.

Considering how wii u is a lot more powerful than wii, I wouldn't be expecting Mario and Link to look worse in this one than in brawl.

it's just a different art style.
Graphics and aesthetics are completely different.
I like the aesthetic they're going for with Smash 4, it's very crisp and readable.
They even went so far as to give the 3ds characters clear outlines so they'll stand out more on the smaller screen.
it's just a different art style.
True, I just don't really like the art style, not a big fan of everything looking cartoony. The textures on the wii u one are prob more high resolution, but they still aren't that detailed.
In retrospect and nostalgia goggle be-gone, I think I actually like Samus's new design quite well. I feel it brings out the metallic feel better, and it looks like it would provide heavy protection in a way that wouldn't hinder your movement and make you clumsy. Even if Other M might have been a shit game, I think the suit design is still good.
I think I also share the same view I've heard some people express about Samus' representation in Other M, it wasn't too out of character, because it was supposed to present her personality before the events that made her the ice-cold independent one-woman-army bounty-hunter we've familiarized ourselves with. Yeah she was a emotional bitch in her teens, to me that only shows that she's as human as anyone else who probably did some dumb shit in their teens but got their shit together and matured up.
Considering how wii u is a lot more powerful than wii, I wouldn't be expecting Mario and Link to look worse in this one than in brawl.
But they look better?
Except she's not human as everyone else as she's part Chozo, raised by the Chozo, with no interaction with other people except for the Chozo until well after her teen years.
Well, Other M fails to do that because it happens after pretty much the rest of the franchise. If they wanted some teen vulnerability, make a precuel, not something set after planet bursting, genocide, and Ridley bombing became habits.

Are you kidding me? In the series' chronology Other M is the second last game, just before Fusion.
So by this point she's taken out a Space Pirate installation on Zebes twice (defeating Ridley, Kraid and Mother Brain in the process twice), eradicated the Metroids and done everything in the Prime series (wherever it fits in, most likely before Metroid II).
Suggesting that Samus reverts into some whiny, infantile state when in the presence of Adam has troublesome sexist connotations and is really fucking dumb.
