I must be really weird or something because I actually liked the stage creator. It could've done with Waay more content though... Like tons more. But the idea was there.
It was better than having no creator at all, and it was possible to make some good things with... but in general it was simply too lacking in useful building blocks, and your ability to utilize the content was too limited by being forced to place them alongside a grid. Basically the same problem as the level creator in all tony hawk games.
Props if you get this Tobias Fünke came too early!

Even if they don't change anything about it from Brawl, being able to place things with a simple touch will make the process so much quicker to do.

The stage creator in brawl wasn't bad... there was this one I downloaded called Colosseum IV that is probably one of my favorite stages to play on. I remember it having a wider flatter bottom middle with more ice though so I think I had a different version or something... I think they'll have a lot more stuff in the ssb4 editor. What would be really cool is if they added the ability to draw stage elements, or even purely visual additions to stages. Both the WiiU and 3DS have touch screens with styli so it's not really out of the question.

Some of the best custom stages came from there, since it freed up many of the restrictions from doing it within the game, yet required no modding.
Cooking Mama spices it up! I'm not on my computer right now, or I would attempt to make it myself.
Still waiting for a Jetstream Sam one.
Cooking Mama spices it up! I'm not on my computer right now, or I would attempt to make it myself.
I'd actually love cooking mama as a character tbh Use the dog as well, not as a character but as an assist/one of her moves
I can imagine the Pain as an assist. Throws bees everywhere.
I can imagine the Pain as an assist. Throws bees everywhere.
the sorrow spawns in ai controlled clones for each missing stock/minus score of each player, the clones are considered allies of their corresponding player until they despawn
One new picture, but no other updates :(
So I was linked to an entire gallery of those fake Smash Bros. character splash screens.
One new picture, but no other updates :(
I wonder if we will get something new tomorrow, since it is the one week anniversary since the announcement of the game.

Someone do: "GUTSMANS' ASS! BUTTS IN!"
I am surprised no one has done Sam from Sam and Max, saying that he "Is on the Case"!
http://nintendoeverything.com/125612/sakurai-confirms-single-player-campaign-for-smash-bros-wii-u3ds/ Pretty old article but I don't remember it being posted here, but I found it an interesting read. TLDR version - SSB4 will still have a unique singleplayer campaign like SSE, but it will be different. There will still be cinematics. There will be unique cinematic videos for the 3 current newcomers that will be available to watch from the get-go. Sakurai isn't for or opposed to DLC, he just wants to get the full product finished before he attempts considering it.
The cinematics were the best part of SSE.

I really want cutscenes in the new Smash.
I want gameplay that takes advantage of platforming and has some actually inventive level design. SSE made walking through levels feel tacked on.
People are shipping Samus and Wii Fit Trainer. I am ok with this.

I consider my job at this point, and my main responsibility, to make the Wii U and 3DS versions the best and the fullest experience possible. That said, once finished, it's the type of thing we could take into consideration, but for now, you could consider DLC as not being in the cards."
http://www.gamnesia.com/news/no-plans-for-dlc-or-touch-controls-in-the-new-smash-bros.-tripping-is-remov To me, it sounds like Sakurai is dead set on making the games so gosh darn amazing that he won't even need to make DLC to improve the game or extend its lifespan. That's something that I respect. That said, if something does come up and he thinks of a way to improve the game (with a new character or whatever), then by all means, do it.
