Does anyone have the other daily pictures saved up? Cause apparently, they replace the daily images, but keep the same link, making backtracking in this tread kinda pointless since I keep seeing Fox the Slammaster.
Possible evidence of the Boxing Ring being a Punch-Out stage from GameFAQs
First off, the audience is human, so you can rule out any possibility that this is a Kirby themed stage (all Kirby boxing rings have Kirby characters instead). The marquee's in the background are all dot styled, which is consistent with the marquees in Punch Out Wii, and even the title screen and round indicators for Mike Tyson's Punch Out. Various dot styled marquee screens: http://i.imgur.com/sgmo0ru.png All logos in Punch Out Wii are adorned with clusters of stars, which are usually in 3's because triple star punches are the most powerful punch in the game, as well as the "leaf vines" on the sides (forgive me; I don't know the term for this) and a giant star somewhere in the middle. The logo in the ring, while being smash themed, shares all of these characteristics. 3 star cluster on bottom: http://i.imgur.com/QSCAXpe.jpg Minor/Major/World Circuit Emblems: http://i.imgur.com/oWzpteX.jpg The ring ropes are also identical in both color and configuration as the Major Circuit ring in Punch Out Wii. Similarly, the corners are all identical colors and positions as the Punch Out Wii corners. The logo in Smash also features a ribbon at the top, which is a direct throwback to the World Circuit ribbon at the top and bottom of the logo. Major Circuit ropes and World Circuit ribbon: http://i.imgur.com/UV4O3mB.png Also, as a random tidbit, the ribbon in the Smash Punch Out stage says "CHAMPIONSHIP" on it, which is probably because if it straight up said "Major Circuit" on it, it would be flat out obvious. Plus since Smash Bros doesn't have "circuits", championship makes more sense in the context of the game. The final fight in Punch Out Wii, Mr. Sandman, has a very particular entrance for both his Title Defense and Contender fights. He approaches the ring while there's a green laser light show that goes on behind him. Well, check this out... Sandman intro: http://i.imgur.com/hvnTGDl.png Mario in the ring: http://i.imgur.com/Odu2I7I.jpg Same green laser show. But yeah, there are an abundance of intentional details that suggest this stage is designed to be a Punch Out stage. There may be a few details that I'm missing, but those were all the details I seemed to notice. Unsure if this confirms Mac being a character, but at the very least there's a stage from the Punch Out series in the game.
I don't know why, but I want either Shy Guy or Boo in Smash U
Spyro is from the series with the same name. He is very wanted and has a high chance of being in it because he is not a Sony or Microsoft character. He is owned by Activision.
I hope that Pokemon Trainer makes a comeback with Generation 2 Pokemon this time.
I'M SORRY IF WHAT I POSTED IS LATE, HERE, HAVE MORE LATE CONTENT. Check the thread before posting.
i said the exact same thing a few pages back i was called in ass for it :suicide:
Totodile? Yes please c:
I don't think we'll be seeing Pokemon trainer back personally, Pokemon has only ever had 2 consistent fighters; Pikachu, and Jigglypuff.
i said the exact same thing a few pages back i was called in ass for it :suicide:
you're right.
I'M SORRY IF WHAT I POSTED IS LATE, HERE, HAVE MORE LATE CONTENT. Check the thread before posting.
Don't be an ass.
I don't think we'll be seeing Pokemon trainer back personally, Pokemon has only ever had 2 consistent fighters; Pikachu, and Jigglypuff.
The trainer could be updated to the "Gold" version, aka this guy.
Even so, we have no reason to assume they're bringing back the "multiple Pokemon in one character" gimmick at all. It basically makes them do 3 times the work for a single character slot.
I hope that Pokemon Trainer makes a comeback with Generation 2 Pokemon this time.
Everyone loved the Pokemon Trainer in Brawl, they're probably going to put him in this one too.
I think that Pokemon Trainer still deserves a spot. He's pretty much a core character, no matter what version he is from or what Pokemon he owns. Pokemon Trainer is kinda like Villager in a way, in the sense that his character isn't specific but is very important to the series they reside in.

If they went all out, I'd really like to see Red (Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard), Blue (Bulbasaur, Charmeleon, Blastoise), and Green (Charmander, Wartortle, Venusaur).

Seriously? At least spread them out, jesus christ.
They should change it so that the current trainer is around when the player is Pikachu and every other Pokemon also has a trainer (and little mac has doc louis) i've been over this before but w/e
Eh, that'd be unnecessary. Just because they're being released from PokeBalls doesn't mean they have trainers. DK breaks himself out of a DK barrel without Diddy helping, Samus exits a save point that isn't there for longer then a few seconds. They're trophies, they're only as similar to the original as necessary for the player to recognise them.

If we got gen 2 trainer I think Feraligatr would be more likely than typhlosion, with bayleef in the middle and cyndaquil.

Gen 1 has Pikachu and Jigglypuff, but it'd be nice for there to be reps from the other gens who usually wouldn't get a spot. Or even having something like 3 different starters from 3 different gens, keeping the same basic gameplay but including more gens. Totodile instead of Squirtle, Grovyle for Ivysaur, Infernape for Charizard or something like that.
