I really wonder if they're going to replace Olimar with a Pikmin 3 character, seems like they're really going all-out with the characters in Pikmin 3 judging by the recent Nintendo Direct.

Oh, I didn't know Rhythm Heaven was developed by Nintendo. Maybe we'll see more of the series in Smash Bros.

I personally don't see much potential for playable characters from Rhythm Heaven. However there are tons of possibilities for assist trophies.

Maybe they would have costumes that make a character be a different one except with the same gameplay. You know so that those who like the clones for the character don't have to clog up new gameplay.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think an interview with Sakurai confirmed they weren't interested in making costumes/skins a regular thing because they want characters to stay true to what they're representing.
