So is the original renegade campaign worth a play?
I only ever played the first mission for some reason, and I pretty much exclusively played Renegade in MP after that.
I know it got a lot of mediocre reviews concerning the SP portion, but would it be worth it to dig it up and play it again? (That tiberium monster has got me curious)

He would bury the game so hard if it weren't free, not so much the texture quality and bugs as the oldschool FPS gameplay. That is entirely out of his field and I bet that was actually his biggest gripe.

The next round was better, both sides decided to engie rush and blow up half of the bases, all that was left was the GDI infantry barracks and the Nod refinery.
No vehicles were on the map apart from one Apache that was abandoned during the engie rushes, I stole the Apache and RAINED DEATH UPON THE CHILDREN OF THE BROTHERHOOD!
When I click join it doesn't do anything. What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to install renegade x and no matter what I do, run as administrator, double click, move the file location, reset my pc, the consent screen won't open, and when I go into the task manager it's hogging up 10mb/s of my hard drive

Nothing wrong, it sometimes has problems connecting, click skirmish and then go back to multiplayer and try again. Or use the launcher.

I noticed only one person on GDI so I switched over.
Then I was the only GDI left. :C

As Sakura, I destroyed an Orca, then killed the falling pilot mid-air. I felt great after doing it. Forgot the name of the sniper rifle she carries though.

Ramjet. Sounds like the never fixed the sniper rifles being death to light vehicles issue WestWood wasn't able to change before getting canned.

yep, but it doesn't matter since its like a 1 1/2 shot to everything except mamoth tanks, now i see people using the ion cannon/rail gun as snipers too since you can zoom in on them
