People complaining shotgun is OP
Me being glad there is finally a weapon that can kill someone in less than 20 shots
Really sometimes it feels like everything about this game is stuck 20 years in the past, especially the people defending it. Like no, it should not take 5 hours for a game to end due to everything taking forever to take down, from base defenses to players standing still absorbing minigun fire.

There really ought to be a reliable source of healing and ammo, like medkits on the map or a class that can actually hit you with it's healing thing (unlike repair gun) or a hospital tech building that grants passive autoheals or whatever.
Most, if not, all, of the automatic weapons feel very underwhelming at times... when you can be unloading rounds into the enemy only for them to one-shot-kill ya with a Sniper/Ramjet rifle or remote C4 pretty much every time.
You catch an engineer sneaking into your base from the back? remote C4.
you're defending a beacon from engineers disarming it in the middle of their own base? remote C4!
You explode a vehicle and the driver pops out? remote C4!
You sneak up to and get close to the cliff-full of snipers on many maps REMOTE FUCKING C4!
"Havoc and Sakura will now have multiple timed c4 as their default explosive weapons
*Edit*
Update from 07.03 of additional things:
- Havoc and Sakura will now use Remote C4 instead of timed C4"
This change really grinds my gears.
I don't know if you can tell or not, but I'm a little biased against Allahu Ackbar Remote C4
C4 wouldn't be such a problem if killing people quickly via other means wasn't a problem.
As you say, you can either hit 50 headshots with a pistol/carbine or just C4 them.
I have no trouble killing people, I can consistently land headshots and about 7 with a rapid spam weapon does the trick.
Well, everyone else does it seems. I've yet to run into somebody and fight them for less than 10 seconds.
New update is out and well:

Fuck yeah
Well, definitely time to reinstall
I hope one day we get a full on TS conversion.
I'd love to play as TS Nod, or use those GDI throwing discs

Forgive the kind of long bump, but the game had another update released, we've got a few new maps to toy with, we should totally get the FP players back to bum-rush a server, get together on a teamspeak or skype or something.
Hell, the dead steam group could do with being revived: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/facepunchrx
Not strictly RenegadeX, but it's a spinoff mod of the original Renegade so I felt it appropriate to post.
Bluehell, The team behind A Path Beyond, released a dev vlog for the 20th anniversary of the original C&C

I never noticed how massive the maps in A Path Beyond seem to be, I'd love to see maps of a similar design appear in RenegadeX

I think the should TS:R and APB to the RenX engine, might get the playerbase back again

Although the teams are more familiar with Renegade's old engine than Unreal, this will definitely be the only real option to keep any sort of player base. I downloaded the APB launcher last night, 0 players on the servers, refreshed it every half hour or so over the friday night, a peak time of the week, very very few players, most of the time none at all.
[editline]FUCKING CUNTS[/editline]
Aaaand, RenegadeX servers are all being DDOS'd, again... Yay!

Hopefully with the advent of the new TS vehicles in RenX that means the TS:R team is already porting it and letting people test how the vehicle physics work
There have been multiple updates, most recent one
Infantry Armor:

I hate how the personal ion cannon model is literally just the concept art for x-com's laser rifle. Shame, they really could've come up with something cool

Do you have a screenshot of what it looks like? Was kinda curious. I mean the in-game one :v:
Honestly not a fan of the new update to RenX
It feels like player options are cut right down and limited by removing the option to choose your sidearm + C4/grenades, instead just distributing them through the existing characters. Standard everyday frag grenades are nearly completely gone from the game, only 1 character on GDI has them.
Half of the already go-to characters, Gunner, Laser chaingunner and Railgun/Personal Ion Cannon; now get free EMP grenades and AT mines, oh and Grenades are unlimited on a cooldown. All classes can buy a repair gun, stealth black hand are going to be the bane of nearly all games now.
Sniper Rifle was buffed back to 100 damage from the 80 it was before, because everyone [sp]with less than 50 IQ[/sp] loves snipers!
It's even easier for someone solo to destroy a building now, everyone's ammo reserves are higher so when you're out of C4 you can just keep shooting it, not like it's even needed because weapon damage was increased even further on the MCT
[del]I don't know if I was going crazy but I'm sure I saw a full health/armour building go down in about 5 seconds (after their timed C4 went off) to a single Stealth black hand.[/del]
EDIT: Just tested it myself, 2 Timed C4 does 80% of the damage, the last 20% takes 5 seconds with two laser rifles so it must've been two of them.
Overall, they game is upside down and I don't like most of the changes. However, there's at least one change I do massively approve of: "-Remote C4: Damage to infantry reduced 20% " We get less engineers charging at you screaming 'Allahu Ackbar!'
