Holy crap, that's a lot of plat. Now you can just trade Prime parts for ridiculous prices. Something like WTB: Odonata Prime Systems 2000p.
Every time I play Warframe, I always fixate on obtaining one thing in particular, thing I grind away, don't get it, then a few weeks later I come back and get it without trying. This time its the stance for the Mios.

Honestly the constant grinding is what has killed so much of my interest in Warframe. I still enjoy the gameplay, but having things I want always locked behind numerous hours of grind and farming serves as constant reminder. Of my group of friends, all of whom I got in to the game and who loved it at one time don't want anything to do with it pretty much anymore, have strong disdain towards it because of the grind. I'm the only one who really comes back to it these days.

It's very possible that the icons were a test for the contributor payment system, which is why they're trying out Steam funds now. They're trying to find a way to properly pay their contributors.
Sure real money's better than game money but at least all he did was make an icon in this case. If I got paid plat for making a model I'd be pissed.

If I recall they plan on getting it in for plat at some point as well, I think it's mostly because they need to setup some on the side legalese contract stuff to allow the creators to get paid through it.
That's the plan I assume, that way consoles can get hold of that stuff as well, and the content dudes don't get paid in plat which would be useless.

Archer frame is called Ivara. (probably spelt that wrong but they didn't spell it out on stream)
Ivara can not only take control of her arrows, but it works on any projectile (throwable melees, Tonkor grenades, etc) So you can control where the Tonkor grenades bounce, etc.
Umbra got pushed to the side in favor of the Second Dream, they're still not ready to talk about it yet.
Rhino's rework is coming U18.
Djinn's Fatal Attraction is getting changed.
Clan downsizing coming to U18
Sorties - you have to bring a rank 30 Warframe and be at least mastery rank 3 to play.
Revive 2.0 - no longer being monetized. You have your daily revives and that's it, arcanes can increase that.
The new login system has an exclusive weapon, as well as primed mods. Higher your mastery rank, the higher chance you have to get the rarer stuff right away. But there's set milestones, so lower mastery rank people can still get good stuff.

Yup, they're tied to 24-hour validity cycles, and they also will only unlock items or other goods in-game once the update goes live.
