I mean, you're going to be kicking players eitherway for either the a split or a downsize, but a split will just fracture the community, meaning one branch will basically get fucked out of literally everything, especially since they will have to do ALL research all over again.

What about the Time investment, though? If [url]http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Research[/url] is up to date, getting to where the new clan has access to the later Clan Tech stuff will still take weeks, won't it?
And how is it going to be decided who gets to stay in the old clan and who has to move over?
And realistically, how much will the Alliance chat actually be used? I don't want to end up in a situation where I'm feel like I'm missing out on the missions and all that, and it's hard to believe that it won't devolve into people from the two half-clans looking in that clan for teammates first
Once the split is done, how do you handle people who want to switch back and forth between the half-clans? It will still probably be the same small handful of people donating materials for research costs, and even with the requirements at 30%, I'm afraid that we'll end up in the situation where one half-clan is way ahead on their research, so people begin trying to jump boat over to them
If you guys are working out on how to manage the clan splits, I'd say that you should probably get a bunch of people with lots of resources to share in each clan to start it up in the lower ranks before you add much more people, that way a lot of it is sorted out at least partially and people can choose which one they wanna be in. Then after all that, I'd say make the alliance so people can still chat and BS.

Took them long enough. They've released a hotfix since then and it didn't fix this.

Might want to include a bit of information on the pros and cons just so people can make a more informed decision. Hearing "split the clan" sets off alarms, but its may not be as bad as they expect if they hear the full plan.

I didn't know the FP clan had that amount of trouble, but anyone who wants to temporarily leave to pick up blueprints and then be re-invited to FP can use my clan as a mule for the bps, we've got them since we're small.
Just PM me if you need any of the new items.
It sucks we can't replicate from other clans anymore but it can still be bypassed this way.
