The only problem is that the mesa isn't 100% self-sufficient, so you can't just AFK while she blows everything away, you have to stand there and wait just in case shit goes down. At least in survival you can run off to another room and do stuff.
That being said, I wouldn't give anyone shit for using mesa in either case.
The way the game is now, complaining about builds that are either too OP or too niche is almost pointless because the game itself encourages people to play that way.
Like, I have a Nekros that is built solely for spamming Desecrate, even though with the right build his other techniques are both enjoyable and useful, just because Desecrate spam is more likely to give me the rewards I want than actually strategizing and using all my skills to the fullest is. Having 12+ ghosts available to summon at the same time and having them stick around for a full minute is more fun and makes me feel more like a necromancer, but being able to get more loot drops + life support from corpses across 5 different tiles without wasting all my energy is more useful when i want to actually spend 30+ minutes in a survival game where the enemies scale too high for my other abilities to do anything.

I wish Nekros would get some sort of rework to be more rewarding to play. As is, he's basically the Desecrate Turret, standing in place mashing the number 3 button.
Shadows of the Dead is bleh because the AI is fucktarded, Terrify is useless beyond panic revive mode, and Soul Punch is basically a worse Sonic Boom.

Redeemer is amazing btw[/QUOTE]Very amazing. I stopped using it because it wasn't a great coptering weapon and wasn't a great airdash weapon, so I back to stuff like the Tipedo and the Jat Kittag. But Parkour 2.0 removed all of that, meaning mobility no longer factors in to what weapons to use. I immediately went back to using the Redeemer.
I love running around levels fighting and shooting shit, then while everyone is doing their own thing just whipping out this big gunblade and firing off a powerful shotgun blast in to the faces of a bunch of enemies and mowing them down, then seeing everyone else stop look to figure out what the hell that explosion was.
