I actually liked this design until I found out the default helmet had the little dangly things.... and how utterly useless it was utility wise. I can't even bring myself to level it up.

I would like an arcane aura after accidentally selling the last one I owned to a random dude. Other helmets like the Arcane chlora could grab you 60+ plat easily.

I really like Zephyr's look and her ability set (i will fight you FOR REAL about 250% duration zephyr) but God they need to hurry up with that immortal skin because her texture is so muddy and uncolorable

oh my god this. it doesn't help that she's just so visually busy. if it was possible to color her better she would look a lot better in my opinion.

The only problem I have is with the texture work. She looks like a wad of melted plastics mixed together. If she just looked less messy, I'd like the model itself.

It's going through memory lane when playing this fuckold Xbox game called Warpath which is one of DE's first games ever.
Now I remembered everything about the game aside from whom was the developer seeing as I played the shit out of it as a kid.
So, when I booted it up recently and saw the Digital Extremes logo pop up it all made more sense. You see, the three factions in the game have some very unique designs and the location, a system called Kaladi or something, have some very high-tech environments.
At least two of the factions seem to have designs which have endured all the way to Warframe, they're called the Ohm and the Kovos. While their lore in Warpath might not be the same as two certain factions in Warframe, you can still see the similiraties...
The Ohm: organic race which started to replace limbs with robotic pieces, ultimately forced to become ferocious raiders scavenging for parts to help them adapt and survive. In-game their only biological aspect are their heads which is at the center of a wide robotic body with thin arms and legs.
They look very makeshift and rough, not to mention very pissed. The Ohm used two (each faction has two weapons) very brutal weapons, one being a shotgun which fires uneven chunks of shrapnel and the other being a grenade launcher which fires chemical charges with a large blast radius.
Assessment? All in all they're basically the grandfathers of the Grineer.
Moving on, we have the Kovos. Proud noble warriors wearing bulky armors, they are the most high-tech faction in the game. Armed with a plasma rifle which can, when charged up, place sentry orbs as an alternative firemode. They also use laser snipers which literally vaporize anything it hits.
Aside from their high-tech aspects, they're also religious and their armors gives the impression that they're all one single entity (I.E. clones).
Assessment? Corpus ancestors IMO.
In any case, while not directly related to Warframe I though it was interesting to share this as many design aspects which are iconic for DE seems to have survived all these years...
