Just make everything solid gold.
Oh please no, It'll be Call of Duty all over again.
Just make everything solid gold.
It doesn't look very nice when it switches to the nearest cubemap
It doesn't look very nice when it switches to the nearest cubemap

Oh right, well in that case I'm sure it'd look lovely.

So the cubemap switches are completely gone?
It'll still look shit when the cubemaps switch. Also doesn't matter because that only works on flat surfaces like walls and floors and ceilings.
That's for brushes, not models.
I've always wondered what was the point of heating the crossbow bar anyways?
It'll still look shit when the cubemaps switch.
I've always wondered what was the point of heating the crossbow bar anyways?
To make it look cool! :v:
To make it look cool! :v:
hot you mean.
I've always wondered what was the point of heating the crossbow bar anyways?
Extra painful and cooks you So if you get shot just under the heart, it'll begin cooking it and you die Shit, those rebels are assholes
Extra painful and cooks you So if you get shot just under the heart, it'll begin cooking it and you die Shit, those rebels are assholes
Well they have to be, since the rulers they're under don't give a damn about them and rather let them rot.
I've always wondered what was the point of heating the crossbow bar anyways?
I've liked to think of it as only heating the bolt on the outside, softening it up like an armor-piercing round with a cooler & harder core.
I've liked to think of it as only heating the bolt on the outside, softening it up like an armor-piercing round with a cooler & harder core.
Shit you finally answered a long running question in my mind
Which makes complete sense when you realise it's designed to fire through combine Armour
I've liked to think of it as only heating the bolt on the outside, softening it up like an armor-piercing round with a cooler & harder core.
considering its a red hot rod of steel the heat will melt right through armor and then immediately cook the surrounding area instantly causing a massive increased risk of infection and melding itself into the flesh even if you survive the blow it'll fuck your leg up and its very hard to remove, not only that but will probably get infected from all the rust if not cleaned properly the only way it could be even more nasty is if they added a 3 row set of small hooks on both sides but it really makes sense to make your weapons ultra horrifying as the combine sort of ARE genocidal sociopathic serial killers.
Which makes complete sense when you realise it's designed to fire through combine Armour
But then we have 357's one hit killing the same soldier in the chest.
but it really makes sense to make your weapons ultra horrifying as the combine sort of ARE genocidal sociopathic serial killers.
Crossbow is pretty damn effective (assuming we had ultra batteries in the past/future) for being so hobbled together; it's fits the bill, and isn't TOO hard to make.
But then we have 357's one hit killing the same soldier in the chest.
Not if you're on hard!
But then we have 357's one hit killing the same soldier in the chest.
Besides difficulty setting, could be explained by armor stopping bullet, but impact breaking their ribcage(It's a high-powered ammunition after all, compared to other powder guns player has).
But then we have 357's one hit killing the same soldier in the chest.
Isn't the .357 a 2 shot kill, unless pre-uprising Metrocop or Headshot?
what about now?
what about now?
Details are getting better, but: Blastcover,Button,Make the back end more like this, mold a design like this into the handle,Make the back half of the RPG look more like this. Give me a pic of the sideview and I'll sketch in how it should look.
Button
For some reason that reminds me to ask; will alt-fire toggle the laser guide like in HL1?
For some reason that reminds me to ask; will alt-fire toggle the laser guide like in HL1?
It does currently.
It does currently.
No it doesn't.....are you sure it's stock Hl2?..I mean.....I never knew......
No it doesn't.....are you sure it's stock Hl2?..I mean.....I never knew......
Sorry, I mean in the mod, not in regular HL2.
Sorry, I mean in the mod, not in regular HL2.
Thank fuck, I missed being able to pop around a corner, launch a rocket, and fuck back off behind the wall again waiting to hear soldiers' deathsounds.
Crossbow is pretty damn effective (assuming we had ultra batteries in the past/future) for being so hobbled together; it's fits the bill, and isn't TOO hard to make.
its pretty much a ghetto rigged death machine once you get out of the fact that rebar has horrible weight and thus drops like a fly and the pull back needs the strength of the hulk I'm pretty sure stabbing combine into the walls and billboard signs is well worth the effort I really hope the next Half life brings more guns like that. like icicles and gravity gun. A spring loaded grenade launcher, where you put a grenade with spikes on it and launch it into someones cereal and fuck up their day. etcetc. I want to see car bombs from rebels. Will this mod ADD a /few/ things to it btw?
Thank fuck, I missed being able to pop around a corner, launch a rocket, and fuck back off behind the wall again waiting to hear soldiers' deathsounds.
I think that was my #1 explosives strategy in HL1. Also how I beat the nihilanth. Seriously, that was so effin useful
