Don't worry, I was not suggesting we change how the airboat handles. I was just curious if anyone wanted to lose their lunch like that one valve programmer :v:

that would actually be kinda cool. Like, a boiling/ huge visible disruption on the surface of the water (along with squealing/ biting sounds) when you get close to it.

Imo it would be a lot easier (and probably look better overall) to just edit the current airboat model to be more detailed and hi-poly, rather than make one from scratch.

well he does kind of have a point though :v there's plenty of meshes that will be difficult to remake [i]accurately[/i], namely main characters (alyx, kliener etc.) there are ways to increase polycount without destroying the uvw map too, and why not save some time by upping the polycount on important models like the aforementioned ones?

All characters should in the end be a good 10-13k polies (which works perfectly on Source so long as you have LoDs built in).
