dont forget muzzle flash lighting... Improved of course...
I remember when DOD 1.0 on gldsrc came out with this.
Reminds me of the beta SMG.
I think that's the reason why I personally love the look of it.
Did Vman ever post this? It's got some extra stuff from the mod in it
dont forget muzzle flash lighting... Improved of course...
Can you guys have the player's muzzleflash cast dynamic shadows, at least as a toggleable option for GPUs that can take it?
The smg looks nice an acurate. I know that the real smg7 uses polymers rather than metals... But hl2's smg looked like it was made of metals. the shininess made it look better.
now, this might sound dumb or whatever, but for post processing have you guys considered using some very slight chromatic aberration for when you take a high amount of damage? and i don't mean spam it all over the place so the effect goes crazy if you get shot by a rapid fire weapon, i just mean for big, one shot attacks, like getting flung across the room by an Antlion Guard or a grenade going off next to you. i think it makes those kinds of attacks feel much more meaty and damaging, but that might just be me.
Did some more work on my version of the SMG texture. +WIP eotech texture.
this was my favourite version
I love how there's about four versions of the same texture floating about. :v:
Yup, although I think at this point only Kwant's isn't using my VMT.
Yup, although I think at this point only Kwant's isn't using my VMT.
Oh I didn't see your vmt, I'm not using it either. I'm using my own set of 'stuff'.
Oh I didn't see your vmt, I'm not using it either. I'm using my own set of 'stuff'.
Same here.
Why we're having a painting competition here?
this was my favourite version
My complaint with that one is it looks way too clean, especially compared to the original. It's good otherwise.
My complaint with that one is it looks way too clean, especially compared to the original. Talking of Metrocops, would it be possible to add female ones, since canonically there are female citizens who join up? Like, it'd pick randomly between a male and female model as the citizens do (although keep the same voices, since the vocoder changes them beyond recognition anyway). Seeing a bit of variety would add the impression that they're regular humans from all walks of life that joined up for the advantages it brings. Something like this (from this Metropolice Skin Pack): It'd be great to have the same with zombies too (headcrabs presumably wouldn't differentiate between genders), and perhaps soldiers and stalkers as well, although this could be hand-waved as them all being modified to look the same anyway.

Just not like those horrid Metrocops in the picture above.

Being that stalkers are totally drained of their humanity into labor husks, I think it's likely that stalkers have their gender removed. The combine probably don't take men exclusively for stalkerization. You probably can't observe gender under Combine body armor. But I can't argue with zombie titties.
holy damn so this is included in the mod? this is gonna be great
Just the stuff in the first half of the video, the rest is stuff I'm doing for Firearms Source, but yea it's all gonna be there.
Needs another voice set.
They might be able to pull off just changing the pitch a bit on the females versions
They might be able to pull off just changing the pitch a bit on the females versions
yeah, it's one of things that are easy to do in source, you can just make a duplicate of the metrocop sound entries and add "pitch" "120"

It's something optional and it's alot of work, but its definetly something that i'm keeping in mind.

I think a female version only needs to be slightly skinnier, not really skinny like the above example.
