Might just be the art style though, and considering that the resolution of the pic is not very high and that we don't know how much of the lighting is done in real time, it's probably too early to come to any conclusions.

Lighting sure looks a less static than Source, but holy hell the foliage is ugly. Not all of it, but most of it really does not look good, especially since it has a very clear pattern, the trees, too, look really out of place, but that's probably because they're from L4D2.
For real though, it's just an example that I'm sure was done somewhat quick and this really doesn't tell me much. I'm just really glad we've gotten something new from Valve, even though it is leaked. I'll really be glad as long as it has a real-time editor and some actual dynamic lighting.
The Powerpoint is apparently from 2011, though, so it has definitely improved since then.
