Okay how about this, instead of suggesting a bunch of new things to add, how about we discuss ways to improve on the already existing parts of HL2? Let me start, is there any way to make the glass bullet-hole decal look more realistic? I find it weird that a bullet makes a perfect apple-sized circle as opposed to how glass actually cracks. Are you guys going to add penetrating shots? Like depending on the material, the model, or the brush it will penetrate?
Quick question: Will all the main textures (brick textures, concrete textures, etc etc etc) be revamped, remade, or changed in any way? I would prefer to have the game feel like it was released this decade, not the last. Even if the layouts of map don't change much or change a lot.
I made some new Geiger counter sounds about 6 or so years ago because the old ones annoyed me. If you're wanting to change them then you're welcome to have at these and use them in the mod. It's a small contribution and I understand if you're not arsed/want to do ones of your own, but if I have the chance to help out then that's cool with me. Yeah that was pretty impressive, I remember seeing it and thinking "this looks way better than source".

It's not outdated tech that's killing Source;[I] It's Hammer putting the final nail in the coffin[/I] I found out the hard way that deleting this brush in Eli's Lab will cause a glitched prop_static leak and be uncompilable. It seems way easier, and way better supported by third parties[/QUOTE] The glitch only occurs in this map; since it was technically built on one of the first versions of Hammer (back when it was Worldcraft) and Valve was notoriously struggling because their tools fucked up quite a bit during HL2 development.

Not only that, but the added eastereggs have at least some actual weight to them, whereas adding a dead-end tunnel with the only purpose being to see a shadow of a no longer canon enemy of whom you'll never face is pointless and doesn't enhance [I]anything.[/I] All it'll do is be one of those things people'll shrug off and go "Cool?" and it wont be worth the time it took to make or possibly confuse people who see it as a form of foreshadowing.

Anyways, this has probably been asked before at some point in this thread but will the SLAM be added back into the singleplayer campaign? I can't exactly remember why it was cut from HL2 but not HL2DM.
