As I said, there are plenty of mods already doing this. You can just add those to your vanilla HL2 or even to this mod when it's done and you'll have your headbob.
I do kinda like the idea of DOF when reloading like in that video. If only it weren't as intense.

I know that "make it an option" has become a joke in this thread, but head bobbing should be, seeing as there ARE games with that in the options.

I've just seen this on Gmod addon and thought it looks cool, it wasn't my idea.
Edit: It wouldn't hurt to make it an option, like it is now in Gmod.

alright, sargent99 just came to me and gave me a link to the rocket launcher model, he says that uvs and bake are still left to do though, I´ll pm corgi with it

Headbob is already done, you can find it easily just googling that shit. If it is made an option, great, but it doesn't have to be. It's insanely easy to add.

Also something that I doubt everyone knows about: after you head to the roof in the beginning of the game, there's a scanner, right? Throw all the bricks and cans and shit at him and he drops a battery (most of the time) that you can take all the way 'till you get a suit. If this going to be left in? It's only 15 battery power and doesn't provide much of a useful boost but still.

I actually know that since like my second playtrough because I just for no reason grabbed a can while on the run and threw it at the scanner. It made that sound when it's hurt so I stopped and began throwing everything I could until I killed it with cans and stuff. Felt pretty good carrying that battery whole way to the suit.

On the note, I don't think it needs to be removed. It's nothing game breaking and to me feels as sort of rewards for being observant to your surroundings.

Visible dropped clips/magazines in world like in csgo (both player and NPCs);
Weapon holstering between switching weapons;
NPCs can climb ladders (yes, i've read that ai is/will be improved,
just don't know if this will be the feature);
Metrocop female (i know, i know it sounds stupid... but there shoud be some females that can kick as besides Alyx);
More randomized zombie forms (like rebel, rebel female, metrocop and metrocop female zombie);
Medkit/hev charger animations on use like in Half-Life Decay;

1- yeah that's a nice feature we should add.
2- I never actually noticed they didn't holster before switching...but now that you mention it that'd be a good thing to do.
3- Not possible as far as I know, or at least not without some major AI recoding.
4- The general opinion on this from the times it was mentioned before is that the metrocop vests and outfits are really pretty "poofy" and you wouldn't really be able to tell if it was a female or male under that costume. Unless of course you went full "video game chick model" style and gave them huge boobs, which I'm against.

the NPC ladder thing sounds relatively simple to make
if the enemy ai is x feet below player, check for ladder trigger, check if the ladder will place them at a level even with the player, and if all are yes, then do it.
i'd assume it'd be pretty easy to make a trigger so when the enemy is in range of a ladder it could play an animation of climbing up it, like in L4D1/2.
i dont actually know anything about coding for source however
it isn't quite as easy as bashing in if statements to the code, because chances are doing that will break something else. it would also mean recompiling all the rebel models to use the new animation

Well considering we'd have to compile the new models of the rebels and whatnot in the first place, plus the fact we may or may not get at least a few new or replaced animations, I don't see the second part being a problem. But yeah, it isn't as easy as putting in new statements in the code, I think.
How about something where if you look away from a ladder for a set amount of time, a rebel/metrocop etc might teleport up there as if they climbed the ladder?
