is that a citizen17 model?
Yes, I got it from mugofdoom years ago, when I was beta testing his Legacy mod for him.
speaking of annabelle, will it be kept in the game code for player use? I know it's not meant to be used by players, but it's really fun to mess around with after you've beaten the game a few times.
You used to be able to get it by shooting it off the catwalk that Grigori throws you the shotty from, but Valve welded it to the catwalk in one of their many wonderous updates since then.

To be honest, it would be cool to come onto the train, look down, and see you have a suitcase. No function to it, maybe have it beaten out of your hand by a metrocop, mainly to add continuity (since the other citizens on the train have suitcases as well). Definitely not a feature needed, but it would be a little interesting.

And if you wait in line for food you can actually get a food package that you can carry around :v:

Or rub it on your chest and consume it.

I support both of these ideas. I was like 8 when I first played HL2 so I actually did the latter and expected the former.

It's ridiculously awesome.
Speaking of briefcases, the briefcase in No One Lives Forever is actually a disguised missile launcher!

In the film Pulp Fiction, the reason Marsellus has a bandage on the back of his head was due to a shaving cut when he was shaving his head bald.
Oh sorry, thought we were discussing random facts.

Actually, one of the citizens you can talk to in the trainstations mentions that "they took your briefcase as well, huh?", so I think that idea screws with canon a bit.

How about having them take your suitcase before then so you're not lying when you shake your head up and down in let's plays

how about gordon doesn't have a suitcase because it makes no sense at all and is just pointless work to appease an audience that doesn't exist

Which is why I think the metrocop harassing the guy at the end of the trainstation would also mess with you about your suitcase. If the player hadn't already dropped it prior, it hits them with a stunstick so you can't progress through the spindle with it, right before the citizen.
Again, this is just a small little feature that would be interesting, not something necessary. Hell, if anything, have one sit on the seat next to Gordon so it looks like it came with him with no extra functionality past that.
The food package distribution would also be an interesting idea, because having it actually dispense something for you would make a lot more sense than it not. If it's too complicated, you can just have the machine make a discouraging noise as if to say "Sorry, you don't have access to this."

I figured you'd get the sarcasm there because of the super-specific audience that came along with the suggestion at the end.
I tend to not seriously post ideas with a tiny-ass audience in mind.

Agree about the food machine (Gordon's not a registered citizen, and it should do something), disagree about the suitcase — it doesn't really make sense to give you one, even if you can't pick it up. It's not like you actually moved from another city, G-man just dropped you in the train car.

If I recall correctly, the distributor makes a buzzing noise like the door locks in the apartments when you try to use it, so it's not entirely useless. Perhaps it could dispense a food package or two as a decorative prop, then refuse to dispense anything else in a similar manner to the vending machines.
....really? Have we really gotten to the point we're discussing whether or not gordon should have a briefcase or food packets? I'd rather go back to discussing SMG's or polycounts on cans. At least that has the POTENTIAL to improve something.
Well, discussing the suitcases and food packages was fun.
To be honest, I sorta blame the new "No content posted unless it's major" for all the random arguments lately
At least back then we were arguing about stuff that was going in the mod, now we're just arguing about stuff that's never going to be added because there's almost nothing else to ask that hasn't been covered
Plus, if stuff only gets shown off when it's almost finished, it's going to bring back the old problem where suggestions get made too late
I'd rather go back to discussing SMG's or polycounts on cans. At least that has the POTENTIAL to improve something.
Are you serious right now lol
what potential would that have
higher detail cans
higher detail cans
The discussion would literally be "okay so increase the polycount since we're not in 2004 and have someone remake the texture" and then we'd be right back where we are
