I don't think the Civil Protection needs any other means of transportation. It never bugged me while I played the game, it doesn't bug me now and it most certainly won't bug me ever. Why fix what isn't broke or add shit for no real reason?

Maybe if you just add animation for CPs jumping out the back of APCs. 'Cause AFAIK, they just run alongside them in the original.
And there was that concept art that someone made in the initial thread that had open-air APCs and SWAT-bus APCs. Anyone still have that?

Metrocops will have explosive barrels on their heads instead of facemasks, that way we can't possibly miss the opportunity to have things exploding all over the place.

To be honest, I think it would be rather awesome if we saw the beginning of the uprising in city 17. What made people think they should stand up to a force as powerful as the combine. It starts when the metrocops raid the place in search for freeman, but it would be cool to see how the uprising escalated from there.
Actually it started when Nova Prospekt blew up. Before that, it was business as usual (including the raids).

You wouldn't see the uprising though, as Mr. Someguy said it started when Nova Prospekt blew up and as you slowly teleported away you arrive a week later right in the conflict's peak.
To elaborate further, the Rebels were mostly ignored by the Combine. They were a non-issue, they lived in the toxic canals, in Ravenholm, on the coast. CP didn't really care all that much about them, nor did the Overwatch care about the Coast. The Rebels and Refugees just sorta lived out there doing nothing, and the Combine mostly observed them from afar. In the City, the Combine held a tight grip though, CP raided apartments for any reason they could think of.
Then you arrived, and worse, you teleported into Breen's office and gave him a scare. Immediately, Breen ordered Civil Protection to dismantle the underground railroad and kill everyone running it. When you got through anyway, he had CP chase you all the way to BME. They also shelled Ravenholm an unknown time before that. When you arrived there, he had Overwatch attack it and take Eli prisoner. Failing to capture you again, Overwatch launched a campaign against the coastal rebels, killing nearly all of them except Shorepoint and Lighthouse Point (which was probably destroyed after you left). It's not until you blew up Nova Pospekt that the Citizens in C17 began to fight back on a massive scale.

I feel like, with all that new content added, this mod should be its own game with its own plot, but still set in the HL2 universe.
