Yeah the bridge and the plane look pretty neat. The problem is that they make about as much sense as Doomeddec's jokes.
Think about it. What the hell was a 747 (Lufthansa, btw, which only further detracts sense) doing crash landed in eastern russia? Who builds a bridge across an entire lake to what the meps say is the middle of the sea?

I don't see what's wrong with that at all. It's a fine addition to a game that was really lacking in assfloss and celebratory party colored power cables.
That ass does remind me though, it would be cool to see some fake subsurface scattering via a lightwrap material. I know there's a legit SSS shader floating around for Source somewhere, but it just doesn't look right.

Well, if some of you don't like the original Half Life 2 OST, why not have it replaced with soundtracks from another mod. For instance, Smod Outbreak has some really good music:

That large, yes. That large spanning an entire coast when it could just be a road with some smaller bridges (you know, [U]like the one that chapter is based around[/U]), no. Bridges that large tend to be a bit more featured, and more importantly, spanning a bay between 2 points in a major city. His location makes no sense at all.
As for the plane wreckage, I didn't really like it. It's a cool idea, but executed wrongly. The biggest issue foremost, is that fact that airplanes do not crash that way. Airplanes break apart when they crash, even at a low angle. At a high angle (like his), it should have disintegrated, and instead we'd just find bits of coloured metal and occasionally recognisable airplane parts laying all over the map (with a crater full of metal chunks at the impact site). The Oil Tanker Trinidad was pretty cool though, I'll admit. I still think it was kind of misplaced at where on the coast he decided it should be parked.

Late as heck, but I was going to add more foliage in general. Not the crap tons he has, but yano, C17 is a little sparse on trees, even dead ones. and we're going to make new models for a lot of trees. the original ones are complete crap, and the episode 2 pine trees scare me.
Please don't sue if we take more artistic liberties. Mapping is kinda slow, because we are still getting content in the game, and working some things out.

please no. The half life 2 soundtrack was perfectly fine. Change too many things about a game and it turns into somthing else. You need to keep somthing the same.
Why is the soundtrack even being discussed? It isn't in the mod's goals to alter the soundtrack, and Corgi has already said they won't touch it.

Regardless, it's one of the things that can't exactly be "enhanced". you can make a texture look better, a map make more sense, but the music will always be an opinion thing that literally can't be enhanced.
Unless you're talking about the placement of the songs, then yeah that can be changed I guess.

When was that said? If you're referring to my "why would we?" comment, [I]thats for completely ripping out the Half-Life 2 music and replacing it. [/I]If anyone provides anything with other team members saying that we are not changing the soundtrack I will gladly stand corrected.
