Old news, the creator of that mod even posted on thread V4 [sub](I think it was v4, might've been v3)[/sub] said we were doing a great job so-far, he even said he was going to change the name of his mod "so there would be no confusion" (if you're reading this, GuNsHiP_MK_II, thanks man!).
Also his mod's made for improving and adding new particle effects and weapons, not completely revamping everything in HL2.

I think it's important to stick as much to the original model structures as much as possible and to avoid adding too much stuff that wasn't in HL2.

Being more serious though, it's also inconsistent with Combine Armours. Combine Vests are one piece of cloth, wrapped around their right side and strapped together on the right.
It was mostly the idea of the single filter helmet. Not that we should dwell on it because there's already quite a few different types of combine. Having a female proportioned variant of each class (don't nobody be a fucking idiot thinking that I just mean "smaller", see Blacklight: Retribution or Halo reach for a proper example) would be pretty cool, but we don't really need anything [I]new.[/I]

We should get these guys on the team so they can find every little error there is in the game maps and to catalog every asset's series and characteristics... We would also need to hire Valve because it would be easier to make a new map rather than fix them.

You think it would look okay if you added that glow from numbers also as detection of getting hit? Like, it would display on the edge of the view with slight blur and stuff. It could also stack, like one hit = barely visible, multiple hits in short time = glowing strongly. Just not some clusterfuck, nobody wants that.

That'd be cool, also having it glow red instead of yellow if it's 'stacked' so if you got hit once it'd be a slightly orange color, then getting hit multiple times would make it glow completely red.

I honestly think that the colour distortion effect that some games have when you get hit (Dirt 3 for example) is pretty amazing.

Yeah, I was thinking about mentioning that too but that scanline fits the style of suit HUD much better in my opinion.
Personally, I think we should keep the old system. I rather hate it when something obstructs my view in a game.
Perhaps a slight red overlay when you are low on health would work. (nothing big)
or the HUD becomes more red the lower your health.
