speaking of cats there should be a cat that you can find as an easter egg, that's turned inside out, with an achievement attached called "Don't Show Barney"

And then when you place it in one of those mini teleporters it comes out the other one distorted or as a picture of something else.
Hey, thought I'd stop by. I was just playing through HL2 again and I remembered that it's still using that Advisor model from 2004 even though Valve has had a newer, cleaner model since '07. Will the Advisor's model be updated to the newer model, and, while it also be getting a texture makeover as well (for either model, new or old, they need it). To me, the one in EP2 is not the same as in HL2 for a reason. My thoughts are that the one in HL2 is some sort of Advisor 'commander' or 'dictator' of sorts, and the ones in EP2 are either new and improved versions of the advisors (talking about their species 'evolution, not model quality), or just newly '"born" Advisors.

The advisor in Ep1 uses the old model when it's put into the pods they use to escape, and you see it spying on you with TV screens just like the new ones do in Ep2. You'd expect that one to be one of the new Advisors if they were a separate type. That's just my opinion though - if people prefer the old design I don't really mind, although if I had the choice I'd rather port the Ep2 one over (it probably doesn't need a new model/texture since you just see it on screens).
We need to get Marc Laidlaw in here and ask him a ton of questions. :v:

Also, I think the old bomb's texture has some charm to it: reminds me of an old videogame bomb with those yellow lights.

I disagree. I made my own dev textures just to feel elite. It must be done. Total conversion, even during development.

I'm not sure what the point is, it just says "[highlight]ERROR SUCCESS[/highlight]" instead of "[highlight]ERROR[/highlight]", but they did.
