Did you just miss the past 3 months of updates or something?
Yup. I think I've probably mentioned before that I haven't played in forever. Yeah I just found out about the 'Crimson Guard' lol.
Jesus, literally everyone wants to play PA. This is insane, maybe this wasn't a good time to start playing the game again. Queued up for a game and everyone was literally ganking and roaming at like lvl 1, I wonder why the FUCK this is happening, then someone says that they're trying to kill Necro since we have an arcana PA. So while this shit is happening there are literally like 5 heroes all in the same tiny top lane and this guy keeps screaming JOOOHNNN CENNA while blasting some airhorn whenever I get a kill. [t]http://i.imgur.com/l1sHPnQ.jpg[/t] Our mid game sucked but Ogre Magi carried the shit out of us. He got a godlike streak and picked up a super early aghs, best Magi player EU. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ZcYkMNb.jpg[/t] Dota stopped making sense to me a long time ago.
I'm tempted to join the event because I have experience with PA and I could as well try to get some items to sell on the market I'm not out of mere spite
I'm tempted to join the event because I have experience with PA and I could as well try to get some items to sell on the market I'm not out of mere spite
the event drops are untradable

That nails it then

I sort of like rediscovering the game, and experimenting with heroes I can barely remember how to play, how to build them, etc. I wasn't quite sure what to build on this hero after the Orchid and crits. [t]http://i.imgur.com/RffwuFS.jpg[/t] Talk about a fun game, had some great teammates on both sides, and the game stretched on to 50+ mins. That being said, one of our players just dc-ed and we lost from there, that was kinda sad. In any case, it was super fun and a lot of the players congratulated me after the game for how well I did. I'll definitely keep Clinkz in the rotation from now on.

http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1063869527 Nice game dotards
I fucking hate losing after taking two raxes down, taking the third rax is an impossible task when there is a necro with aghs. http://dotamax.com/match/detail/1063949037/
That's a very interesting DK build.
Something you should know: Clinkz's burning arrows is no longer a unique attack modifier(aka orb effect) so lifesteal may be worth it on him now.
i like diffusal on him
Something you should know: Clinkz's burning arrows is no longer a unique attack modifier(aka orb effect) so lifesteal may be worth it on him now.
get a helm, use it's active (it got buffed, it now also gives bonus hp to creeps), eat the creep
Instead of not engaging slark 1 vs 1 after the first time I will do it a couple more times and then bitch and moan at my team http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1067361047 And that fucking piss poor tower dmg, god damn.
Orchid + MoM + Medallion on Clinkz Burst big or go home
http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1069412883 Played like shit and got carried by a peruvian, bizarro doto.
http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1069412883 Played like shit and got carried by a peruvian, bizarro doto.
I had a similar game yesterday where I played like shit and got carried by others. http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1067308835 The DK was hilariously toxic. Flamed the PA the entire game for spending the first 30min farming, flamed everyone for walking off alone then proceed to go farm alone, flamed me for not saving his ass when he got 5-man ganked, non-stop pings, the list goes on. My life consisted of buying wards/tp -> plant ward/farm a few creeps -> die/respawn. I was lucky and got boots fairly fast but that was it. No Blink till 44 minutes after a few Assists and Periodic Gold stacking up. I actually learned quite a bit from the game, mainly to pay more attention to missing heroes as well as my own team's movements.
http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1075696514 this was such a long fucking match
This was my brief adventure in the 2k branch: I reached 2125 before being brought down to 1975 Granted, I'm not a stellar player by any measure: I still make stupid mistakes even after hours and hours of experience (over 1000, to be precise) and still need to ger a grip on some advanced mechanics Thing is, however, it's downright impossible to rise my own rank while queing solo with people who constitently don't know what the fuck they are supposed to do in the shoes of their current hero I go support? My carries got a far worse d/k ration than me and allow the other team to feed and make a sandwich out of me I go carry? Either the other team members go all carry too or the support pickers have carry delusions Aside from those, there is a general inability for people to use their heroes correctly. I may get killed far too many times because I am too bold, I may don't know when it's the time to buy an item instead of another one, I may have still some troubles pulling creeps, I may waste a skill point or two in an ability which is worse than another, but at least I know what my current hero is supposed to do, where is supposed to be, how I should use and chain his/her abilities, how to work in sinergy with my team mates. That's something I can't say for the majority of the random strangers I get to play all the time Before someone suggests it, I have indeed friends that play Dota 2, but most of the time their usual gameplay schedule doesn't fit mine, so I'm left to go ranked solo I'm on the verge of quitting, let alone Dota 2 altogether
get better at the game
Yeah, maybe I should play the single player mode, I heard it's blast
Can't believe that after tryharding . I ended up having a winstreak with bloodseeker "5 low heroes, HERE COMES THE BLOODSEEKER CLEANING CREW"
A fun match I played last night. We lost in the end, but it was still a great game. Towards the end my ping shot up to around 800. Earthshaker was doing 2000 damage crits. I think Rubick got a triple kill with Remote Mines.
im not even joking; if you want to climb in mmr get better, if you don't belong in the skill bracket you will slowly win more games than you lose and hence rise in mmr, all the communication you need in pubs is the chat wheel and pinging; just chat wheel initiate and ping when you want to go and go if you want to climb mmr you need to not be on equal terms as your teammates because then you'll just stay equal or maybe drop a bit, you need to play way better than your team, which may come naturally if you're better or you need to just get good an learn from your own mistakes and not make them if that bounty or jugg game you hadn't died 10+ times because of good map awareness/positioning you couldve won the game, or if you had farmed better or etc etc etc
Just here to say if you're playing out of bracket, you can definitely tell. Because free items from the new event, I played with my really low mmr friend (~1500 mmr difference) in unranked after not playing unranked in a long time. the difference in skill level is really noticeable, and the only thing to get you into a higher bracket is just to improve, there's not much else you can do. Being critical of yourself is key.
http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1078187267 The game of throws and a lot of unnecessary deaths. Not gonna lie, was a bit pissed since wk was going midas 1st with a glove of haste. But oh well cant complain.
Despite having aquila, and being able to treadswitch, i was always choked for mana, being left on about 30% of my full mana which was enough for like everything except my ult cause that game we only had one set of arcane boots I think this will need more testing
This is why I love building Orchid on Slark. It's really good for solokilling anything spellbased (see: Storm, QoP) and solves all your mana issues.
One of the most fun matches I played ended up as a 2v5 at around minute 17. I was the ES. [t]http://puu.sh/dnuhO/daa6bdef10.jpg[/t] Here's another fun thing about it: [t]http://puu.sh/dnuj5/40d0bd22be.png[/t]
I hate people like you, when it's 2v5 I just want the fucking game to end.
Only once did I decide to play through a 2v5 when I was on the team of 2. The resulting victory was very satisfactory, and it's also the match where I hit my kill record of 45 in one match. It was low priority, though, so it's not like it matters.
ironically i just had the honor of forcing myself to go orchid slark last night for an oracle cause fuck oracle :v
Admit it, you miss it now every time you play Slark. :v:
