SC Downloader has been being fucky, so some people resorted to that.

Torrents are just a way to download things. They aren't inherently illegal.
My SC downloader worked fine though, got my max dl speed of 5 mb/s
I had to re-dl 2 times, but it finally worked when I just left my monitor on.

I purchased it on steam earlier for the full price.
Even had I chosen to get it from another distributor that was selling it "cheaper" I would have been paying just as much because I would have to convert from CAD to USD or EUR.
Download was very smooth and painless, Only took 5 hours.

The last time I played someone sniped me while I was getting a haircut so if you want to change appearance shit go into a private lobby by yourself.
The only good thing is with everyone on PC using m+kb there's going to be no lock on so random deathmatching won't be a matter of who can press the aim and shoot buttons faster.

Why would you need to do that? Is there some weird requirement for carrying over your character?
I'm also not importing my character because I want to start over and be legit instead of randomly getting 5 billion dollars from a hacker when I didn't even ask for it.

Yeah. I just backed up my steam depotcache folder for my cousin with shitty internet and it worked.
I thought encryption was a per-user thing, but apparently it is not.

Honestly giving players with controllers even weak aim assist would make it less lopsided.
You'd still need to finesse your aim, and can't just snap to targets instantly like in singleplayer, so it'd be pretty fair I think. As long as a target is within 10 degrees of the crosshair, gently guide it onto them when you shoot.

I don't see why you would want to work for money in this game, not having money and having things you want to buy isn't that fun imo.
Speaking of dosh, how do you collect the preorder money in-game? Is it just given to you? Or do you need to do something specific through Steam or Social Club?

Probably something clever like a text with a key that you enter into your bank which redeems the money.

It doesn't work with it yet, but it'll probably get an update in the near future.

You have to finish the prologue at least to receive the returning player bonuses. It's a couple of missions, weapons, and vehicles that I'd really like. My save data was wiped once I sold my PS3. Now, I'm just hoping someone would be kind enough to login as me and do the prologue. Reddit has a thing going but the guy doing it has over 100 people requesting and there's no way in hell he can get to me before Monday, if at all.
Someone recommended that I try firstperson mode with mouse and keyboard, since I mentioned playing thirdperson games without a controller feels weird, and I play a lot of PC FPS games.
How is GTA5's firstperson view anyway? I've heard some say they love it and others swear it makes them sick.

you have to download it from the in-game store most likely. that's how it was on the console versions at least.
