Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V4 - 3 and 1/2 Years in the Making: GTA V PC - Games

Anyone else's connection to the download servers for that Social Club thing keep disconnecting? I keep having to pause and resume again for it to get going.

So i defintely need a new graphics card as i can't keep playing this on my AMD 6950 with random crashes. The questions is which should i get that gives most bang for the buck? help plz

Came home from work a few hours ago and started installing from the discs, now it's downloading the 5GB very slowly and occasionally loses connection. And I thought I would be able to try it today..

this game makes my 780Ti feel old already. was expecting to be able to run the game at at least a constant 60fps maxed out, but going to the woods tells me otherwise. dips as low as 30fps when in the woods or outside the city in general. don't know how much of a performance hog the desert is yet, but I suspect it'll run alright

Hey, thanks for letting me into the FAPS crew, whoever it was. Just started on PC today. Been playing GTA Online occasionally on my cousin's PS3 before this. Also, I tried to join some of the crew members and found 3 of them in one session. As soon as I get in, I hear the Club Penguin Kid going on loop. Does that always happen?

I guess the R9 280 was a good investment after all. First new game I have played on it and it seems to handle very high pretty well (maybe turning off vsynch will help). Need to get another set of 8gb ram to match the discontinued ones I have or find 16gb of new ones and that may help some more. Alright so I got a bike (as Franklin) and upgraded it as Los Santos Customs. Then, while driving, switched to Michael to do a mission. But my Bike isn't in Franklins garage. Did it get stored somewhere or did I fuck up and lose it?

The foliage is completely different, the spawning system is completely different, the lighting system is different, and there's a ton of content that doesn't exist on the PS3/360 versions.

The desert is the least intensive part of the game.

just got my physical copy, its a rockstar social club one so i did all that shit, installed the .exe they provided on the site, but after the "bootstrap" window goes away during setup nothing at all happens, im not even prompted to login or anything it just flat-out dies on me, anyone else had this problem? really no idea how to fix it, i haven't even been able to start the game download since i got it lmao

No point customizing vehicles that aren't their defaults. (Buffalo S/Bagger/Tailgater/Bodhi) or you'll just lose them.

so, you need 65gb to download and install the game right? Not double? That was only due to the preload right?

i've tried every possible trick to get the launcher to not instantly crash. guess i just need to wait for them to fix it. After so many delays these problems really should have been ironed out.
