yo how do you create like 'invite only' jobs online? just wondering for when i get this shit working me and my friends want to do jobs with just us
be in an invite only session, have your buds get in, start job, invite from session
Host the job, set matchmaking to closed. Done. Then you just invite friends.
shit that's my problem where's the button to host a job?
It'll be at the police station near Lesters Warehouse. Have to pay like $200 to get it out. No point customizing vehicles that aren't their defaults. (Buffalo S/Bagger/Tailgater/Bodhi) or you'll just lose them.
won't lose them if you park them at a safehouse or in a garage
Looks like I'll literally have to babysit the Social Club launcher downloading a 5 GB patch at 500 kb/s and disconnecting every minute or so... it won't automatically reconnect either. This blows. Was hoping to play tonight.
I don't see why they couldn't have implemented a peer to peer patcher for this shit, would've solved so much shit with everyone downloading.
gtx 770, i5 2500k @ 4.7ghz, 8gb ram, samsung evo 840 ssd and it's running great with rare dips below 60 fps everything at very high, vsync on, no msaa because i don't mind fxaa especially cause 2x msaa hardly gets rid of any jaggies looks fantastic, first person mode is great, i'm like a kid on christmas
shit that's my problem where's the button to host a job?
Open Pause menu > Online > Jobs > Host Job.
Open Pause menu > Online > Jobs > Host Job.
weird, didn't see that i'll check it out thank you!
So, before I go do my own testing, I should ask. Does DX11 run better than DX10? I heard some games run better on a higher level of Direct X and I'm not sure if GTAV is one of those games.
I feel like I get lower fps in first person mode, or at least it seems to stutter more. GTX 970
So is this launch a fucking disaster or what?
Not really, it's actually a pretty damn good launch considering how big and popular of a game this is.
So I'm probably not the only one feeling like this... is there a fix for the stuttering mouse? Switching to a XBOX 360 controller the game suddenly feels playable, but with a mouse and keyboard, it feels clunky as hell. I really don't want to use a controller, but it feels like I'm forced to without some sort of patch for these awful controls.
So is this launch a fucking disaster or what?
Nah. Everything, even the online component, worked amazingly for me from word go. The only issue I had was due to me not having outdated drivers. Also I can now do the most relaxing thing ever and drive my bike around the more rural parts, BUT ON PC [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/44250156783789088/2CE4AC8A111C18022719D82621611CB82B7C6008/[/t]
How well should I be able to run this as with everything on the lowest settings it is still completely unplayable lagging like crap the second I get into a police chase. [t]http://i.imgur.com/o5JjDWx.png[/t] Fully Speccy: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/kM3kZt6NEGzhfnZpDzgMwrW I thought as I matched most recommended settings I would at least be fine on lowest settings but apparently not. Should it be running better than this?
Tbh EVERYTHING worked flawlessly for me. Except i couldn't get to online until 1 hour after release and the game defaults my settings to 75Hz while my monitor is 60Hz.
For the love of fuck, how do you start the rockstar editor? I can't find an option to do so anywhere
I get higher framerates with advanced options enabled? What is this?
For the love of fuck, how do you start the rockstar editor? I can't find an option to do so anywhere
Pause menu, rightmost option. You have to scroll right to it.

Many people cant play because their keys have been snared in some broken account limbo, huge amounts of people cant play because the launcher doesnt even start for any one of twenty different reasons ranging from not having an integrated graphics card to having your user account contain an apostrophe. At what point would it be a disaster if this isn't?
And now the update won't even continue downloading at all. Holy shit this is bad. Is an automatic reconnect too much to ask? :v:
At what point would it be a disaster if this isn't?
If the game was downright universally unplayable, duh.
I get higher framerates with advanced options enabled? What is this?
Magic.
How do crew-only sessions work? I don't know much about custom sessions or anything like that.
Suddenly I'm downloading at around 6MB/s, 1GB downloaded so far. Though this is on my phone with 4G, and a monthly 5GB cap. Hopefully I'll be able to download it all before I run out of data. If not I'll have to switch over to our slower connection. [editline]14th April 2015[/editline] 7MB/s now Connection was lost and so was the progress, back at 0

It's physically impossible to assure something will work simultaneously for millions of people. It's going fine for the majority. Get over it and wait for your fix.
I get higher framerates with advanced options enabled? What is this?
I'm being honest here, the graphical options are not impacting this game at all its just the engine failing to free up memory when needed, I'm one of the people who can run the game at a flawless 50-60 fps when starting the game and after a few minutes the stutters will appear and the fps will go lower and lower. Setting the priority to high makes the game stay at a constant fps rate but will still yet fail to bypass the stutter spam later on. I won't set the game to realtime because its probably going to give me a bsod at this point. I'm still pissed off at Rockstar's lazyness with this. Also disable the steam overlay if you're not using it to take screens or chat with other people. They better have a good hotfix for this or I'm going back to gta san andreas. I refuse to play a game on lower textures because its poorly optimized.
I can't even play the game at the moment because it just refuses to register inputs properly. I guess it's because I'm not running it at 60 fps ? It was really responsive in the opening mission, but as soon as I entered the actual open world it started shitting itself, and the game has awful latency when running at 20/30 fps. The moment I start driving (even if I drive in circles in Michael's driveway) I progressively lose FPS down to 10, and the inputs eventually just die and I can't control the game anymore. what the fuck Rockstar
I can't get over how beautiful this game is. Now if only it'd stop overwriting the settings put in by GeForce Experience...
