That's a tad disappointing.
I have a 4GB gtx 980 and im running on all high settings, about 3k out of 4k of my memory used. I get a solid 80 frames, but every so often I get a sharp freeze instantly, then its gone. Any ideas why? Could it be the drivers?
That's a tad disappointing.
32-bit OS/Vista? the system requirements tell you what is supported.
fucking hell I can't believe that buying this game is actually a gamble for if it's going to run well or not, as people are randomly having problems with seemingly the same specs as the people who aren't.
Perhaps if you take the time to do some research on sites like RGSC forums, or even the reddit and less time complaining that your game won't work, you will learn that most issues do indeed have fix or workaround. http://www.pcgamer.com/gta-5-pc-fix-list/ http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=160044679&postcount=1423 http://steamcommunity.com/games/271590/announcements/detail/190617144670191197
Your talking to someone whose tried every fix people have come up with already. "just complaining about it" is a pretty shitty assumption to make. You claimed every problem has a workaround, it doesnt. The username thing isnt even the majority of the reason the launcher wont start, but thats the only thing they did a press release about. Its just smart to have *something* for people to try even if it doesnt fix things. Apologizing for rockstar is pointless.
32-bit OS? the system requirements say its 64-bit only.
I can't say I paid too much attention to be honest. The only reason I even have this OS is because it was all I could afford when I was building this rig. Still, at least I know the problem. I did assume I would just be able to run it, I guess that was a mistake.
Anyone get the smaa injector working? I haven't yet :(
i'm forever going to be waiting on a piano car mod
Right up until 50% of people's games dont launch the it cant be a disaster? ok. Yeah, listen to Delta616 "there is a work around for every issue" instead. Very accurate information that isnt completely incorrect.
Most of the problems boil down to not having the proper drivers installed, visual c++ isn't updated, or direct x isn't up to date. I definitely wouldn't call this a disaster, 90% of people complaining don't seem to understand how to use their computer. Also it may seem like a lot of people are complaining, that might be true but I bet there are way more people that have it running perfectly. I'm not going around the forums going ,"GUYS MY GAME WORKS PERFECTLY." There's no need for me to do that I so don't. It's launch week, there are issues, I'm sure rockstar is already working on patches if installing drivers doesn't work.
What if i told you your numbers are not accurate at all? :downs: If you can prove 10% (making it easy for me) of GTA V PC buyers are unexpectedly not being able to launch the game or having game breaking bugs i'll shoot [s]myself[/s] my GTAO character in the dick.
I never cited any numbers, you did though.
That's a tad disappointing.
You on a 32 bit OS?
I have a 970 and I can't get past 9 fps when driving in a 720p window at minimum settings.
Its ok if the game was optimized (I hope it will be relatively soon or im not getting it) then your gpu should at-least have 1300% more fps. If the rest of the pc is good. I expected A R9 280x to be able to handle it at 75 fps on 1920. Doesnt seem like thats a thing with this... Optimization. Oh fuck I thought you had a AMD gpu read that too incorrectly. Changed it to be correct.
fucking hell I can't believe that buying this game is actually a gamble for if it's going to run well or not, as people are randomly having problems with seemingly the same specs as the people who aren't.
The same thing happened with IV.
We're not talking about server bottlenecks or minor impedence. The game won't even launch for a large number of people then there's a whole other subset whos keys are in limbo due to an extremely obvious account oversight. For a game that's been delayed twice and released in 2013 have you seen how fast the "game not launching" threads are moving? it's impressive really.
I wonder how many people in those game not launching threads don't do simple research before making a big deal. No amount of delay can prepare a developer for unforeseen issues, most of which aren't a problem if you look into a fix. The large amount of people who can't launch the game if they spent a couple mins looking into the issue. And the only people who are having key troubles got their keys stolen because they broadcasted it on twitch, and got their copies replaced. Calling this launch a failure is moronic. The game works amazingly and millions of players have already played it.
GTA V: Keyboard Controls
Thanks, keeping this open on second monitor helps a lot
That's a tad disappointing.
Why on earth would you use Vista let alone a 32 bit system in 2015?
There's really a need for boasting in the self radio.
You want a disastrous launch? Mortal Kombat X. GTA V is perfect in comparison.
oh god what the christ i was doing the first trevor mission, then as i take a shortcut and land next to the van one of the bikers decided to ram straight into me, but then his bike did a flip and managed to land RIGHT inside the bodhi it looked pretty cool until it caught on fire and blew the entire truck up
Playing the game from an External HDD via Steam. But it hangs up at the "Loading" bit when selecting "Play Online". Are these loading times heavily dependent of the read rate? Or is it just my expensive thin toaster being bullcrap?
is there something i can do about the terrain not loading fast enough? i'm running on a 760 2gb, i5 2500k 4ghz, 8gb ram, and on an ssd even on normal textures this happens, on high it's worse doesn't really seem right compared to what i've seen other people running at on specs similar to mine

There's a problem with rockstar codes being used on rockstar accounts with steam versions, you have to use an account that's already linked or your key gets locked in limbo despite them giving you a choice to activate it, till their support does something about it. You have no idea whats been going on do you :v i dont want to discuss this with someone who wants to pretend to know whats going on and defend the issue they havent even heard about.
The butthurt and ignorance is strong. You are the minority experiencing issues on day 1 of a PC launch.
In context with what i just posted this is hilarious. Someone who says there are no unfixable problems and claims there to be no key issue claiming ignorance. Im sure you and your cries of butthurt are very appreciated by rockstar.
Trying to download the update and it still wasn't even half done in 2 hours. So I gave up :(
Playing the game from an External HDD via Steam. But it hangs up at the "Loading" bit when selecting "Play Online". I'm sure initial load times are dependent on read speeds too.
AMD Radeon HD 6670, would I be able to at least run it on all low?
Your talking to someone whose tried every fix people have come up with already. "just complaining about it" is a pretty shitty assumption to make. You are the minority experiencing issues on day 1 of a PC launch. If you seriously expect everyone to have zero issues for every single computer out there, you don't have much of an idea on how games works. Actually, I claim that every widespread reported issue has a workaround, maybe your issue isn't wide spread. Perhaps it's something you're overlooking, what's the issue? That's the only thing they did a press release about because that was the major reported issue, at that time R* support has been nothing but helpful in the forums. I'm not apologizing for rockstar, there's nothing to apologize for, i'm saying your over reacting.
Anyone know what setting can get rid of this stuff? [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/46501956597346354/E5F0676228F54F7E678C6EC7323178892BA310E9/[/t] It only happens when looking outside from interiors and a bit when it rains.
I'm having this problem too, only it's only visible in the far distance almost all the time, seems like it's tied to the fog.
Actually, can someone link me to the patch on megaupload please? Might be better then endlessly waiting on social club to get its shit together.
Who's the dumb mother fucker at Rockstar who decided a 5 gig patch after getting the retail copy was a good idea.
Might be because there was an update while the disks were being manufactured/packaged/shipped?
Switching characters definitely is, it's instant on my SSD. I'm sure initial load times are dependent on read speeds too.
Good thing I've got an other computer to use. All I need to do is to bring the HDD and then transfer the contents to the computer's drive. Unfortunately it's also a HDD, at least it's a Seagate and has got good rates for it's 2TB decimal size.
