Well the 5gb shit from megaupload isn't working. I now have to download 2.4GB anyway. And with the avg speed of precisely 0 motherfucking bytes per second it's gonna take quite a fucking while
How high are you guys going above the Vram and still staying stable?
It overflows to your standard RAM if you do I think. If you have under 8GB and other things open that will be a serious problem, but if you have 16GB or GTAV is the only thing open, you should be able to go a bit over the VRAM recommendation, but not too much. Just to be safe, don't exceed 120%. I'm sitting at around 115% of 2GB and haven't crashed so far.
So in online it's still somewhat difficult to make attractive female characters and still hard to make characters that aren't white, black or hispanic.
IM PLAYING GTA5 RIGHT NOW AAAAAAAAAA
Im just a bit upset, because i bought it from steam, i go to social club to activate (Since steam is being a dick to me) and after i activate it i download the installer, which won't accept my key.
Also if you have an Nvidia card, it's caching shaders by default, so VRAM usage is going to be a little higher than what the game reports regardless.
so just allocate some virtual memory is what you're saying?
Yep. Seems like it.
My only issue with this is that in Close Quarters, the auto-aim on controller totally outguns mouse. I've found that using a mouse and keyboard is only viable at medium-long range.
usually that just means you need to turn your sens up in games. Dont know how OP the auto aim is since i cant get ingame tho.
[t]http://puu.sh/he3rI/097217b465.jpg[/t] I recorded this. who wants to see it? :v:
Can this be changed/would I want to change it?
It shouldn't be a problem. Unless you have shaders set to Ultra, it's only going to be like 3-7MB extra used. And it's saving both CPU and GPU cycles by not having to recursively calculate the same thing a thousand times a scene.
For me, as soon as I hit play on steam, I get a box where I can select single and multiplayer. When either are selected, I get "Grand Theft Auto V launcher has stopped working" almost immediately. Here's the details: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX64 Application Name: GTAVLauncher.exe Application Version: 1.0.323.1 Application Timestamp: 5527ed90 Fault Module Name: StackHash_1e37 Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Offset: PCH_CE Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Data: 0000000000000008 OS Version: 6.3.9600.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 1e37 Additional Information 2: 1e373e69fff075aed81f57003e66ce10 Additional Information 3: 9f0e Additional Information 4: 9f0e095f32a88249d7a2b7eca4e322ea Anyone know anything about what this means?
Is it just me or are the plane controls just the absolute worst? I'm finding it almost impossible to maintain control of my plane for longer than 10 seconds before I find myself going somewhere I don't want to go.
if you're playing a character with low flying skill it makes flying more difficult, maybe that is part of your problem?
Just though I'd post my input: i5 4690, GTX 680 2GB, 8GB PM, installed on a 250GB Western Digital Caviar Blue, Windows 8.1 Everything set as high as possible except the few unclear options under "advanced" which I haven't touched, MSAA disabled, FXAA enabled, textures set to "Normal" (I run out of VRAM otherwise), 1920x1080. I've played both singleplayer and multiplayer, no problems what so ever, it's silky smooth and the framerate stays above 60 at all times (using the newest Nvidia drivers). The port is extremely stable and well done as far as I can tell, kinda sucks that I have to use such (relatively) crappy textures, but I assume they're at least as high res as the ones in the PS4 and XB1 versions (?) I was kind of worried when I saw that one webm this morning with the invisible roads and stuttering and shit, but I can reassure that it only happens if you remove the limitations and use settings higher than your VRAM can handle.
if you're playing a character with low flying skill it makes flying more difficult, maybe that is part of your problem?
I'm playing as Trevor and this part of the story requires you to fly a plane unless you specifically skip that section due to failures. I don't really want to skip it unless I have to, I would rather figure it out.
How high are you guys going above the Vram and still staying stable?
500mb, and this is due in part to Nvidia's Optimize game thing in Geforce Experience, which I would highly recommend everyone with a Nvidia card to do.

If you're playing on PC, the default safezone is messed up, so change it in the options. It's not supposed to have the map stuck in the corner like this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/xjeUgi4.jpg[/t] There should be a few pixels of padding like this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/b0Mwmxp.jpg[/t]
[t]http://puu.sh/he43h/3cb05ce236.jpg[/t] anyone know what causes this weird shadow bug?
Can anyone confirm/deny this? I'm just full of questions today
They are, if not higher.
How do I flip people off using mouse+keyboard?
Has anyone figured out what settings make the game look like consoles?
Contacted Rockstar Support in hopes they can fix the wrong account of mine being linked, they got back to me in less than 24hours which to me is an amazing feat of customer service. But while i'm waiting for that to be fixed ive been playing singleplayer and by god first person definitely makes a difference. This game definitely was worth the wait.
[t]http://puu.sh/he43h/3cb05ce236.jpg[/t] anyone know what causes this weird shadow bug?
what's wrong with it? His glasses?
How do I flip people off using mouse+keyboard?
Try secondary fire when unarmed? idk if that's the keybind but I know you have to be unarmed.
what's wrong with it? His glasses?
his shirt / arms there's that radial pattern going along it
So currently my downloader is doing this weird thing where if I close and open it again it downloads at around 500 kb/s and slowly goes down until it stops and disconnects from the server. When I pause and resume again sometimes it goes up to like 10 kb/s before stopping again. Dafuq Rockstar. :v:
his shirt / arms there's that radial pattern going along it
oh shit i thought that was the texture for his shirt xD
