the 25th is a Saturday anyway, games release on Tuesdays generally.
Someone recommended that I try firstperson mode with mouse and keyboard, since I mentioned playing thirdperson games without a controller feels weird, and I play a lot of PC FPS games. How is GTA5's firstperson view anyway? I've heard some say they love it and others swear it makes them sick.
Seems this was passed up. It's a legitimate question; I know how it looks, but is it actually practical to play like that entirely?
A new Vice City based game would look great on the current engine
I just want Las Venturas and San Fierro back
Seems this was passed up. Primarily due to FOV in my opinion. The slider was great on consoles, but it wouldn't go nearly high enough for FPS driving to be practical. But with setting adjustments the combat played great and I never hit a part that just didn't feel right in that aspect.
A new Vice City based game would look great on the current engine
A game set in a new city/state/whatever would be nice as well, honestly. Maybe somewhere with snow. That's a terrain element that hasn't really been seen in GTA outside of scripted sequences I don't think.
I'd love a GTA game based around far-east PA/NJ (the suburban and maritime areas around Route 9 are extremely interesting, especially as you near Atlantic City)/NYC. There's a pretty cool clash of deep forest, farmland, marsh, ocean, highway towns, and giant cities in a relatively small area. Most of all, I'd like a GTA game where you can legitimately get lost without any constantly visible landmarks to help you.
I played the last gen version so much in third person, that when first person mode came around on current gen, I didn't really like it that much. I prefer to see my character.
GTA game where you play as a cop A crooked one

Imagine if this game came out with floppy disks Imagine coming home with a box filled with 600 floppy disks for one game
Imagine if this game came out with floppy disks Imagine coming home with a box filled with 600 floppy disks for one game
It would actually take around 45,150 floppy disks to install GTA V (assuming the disks are all 1.44 MB and the game is 65 GB).

Anyone who's used the GTA4 firstperson mod knows what I mean when I say that simple perspective change can make a game feel substantially bigger. It's no longer moving a character around through a diorama, it's walking around through a place.
GTA game where you play as a cop A crooked one
This is why I liked LCPDFR, it adds a whole new gameplay element. You have lots of allies, call for backup, citizens fear and respect you. Add in some narrative and some missions, it could be a standalone game. A modern LA Noire could be really interesting actually.
Imagine if this game came out with floppy disks Imagine coming home with a box filled with 600 floppy disks for one game
Literally packets, of floppy disks.

[editline]t[/editline] The police in GTA have always been twisted and trigger-happy assholes. An entry in the series tasking you with fixing that by whatever means are necessary would be great.
I can't wait for LSPD:FR I want to be a Sheriff and arrest drunk hillbillies.
I can't wait for LSPD:FR I want to be a Sheriff and arrest drunk hillbillies.
Car chases on the highways would be so much cooler than the shitty car chases in liberty city
a loose cannon cop who doesn't play by the rules?
First thirty minutes of playing you cannot get a wanted level. Then you do a certain mission to unlock a cool thing and your wanted level is now instantly five stars for anything you do, only because someone ratted out on that one time you hit the suspect.
a loose cannon cop who doesn't play by the rules?
San Fierro or Vice City would be perfect for that.
You know what? A GTA game with a current or former law enforcement protagonist, with a focus on using an improved stealth, undercover and blending system to ensure you don't get caught doing shady shit.
I would like to see a GTA game that takes place in the 70's. Calling it now, GTA VI: A game where you play as a crooked cop in Vice City.
I would love to see a HD era GTA game with the story taking place between Vice City , Liberty City and San Andreas.
I've been seeing that you need double the HDD space for the game when decrypting because steam doesn't delete the compressed file until its done extracting. So uh, make sure you have more then the required space left on your hard drive before decrypting.
Could I get a preemptive invite to the FP crew as well? My SC name is the same as my Steam name, just sent a request. [editline]12th April 2015[/editline] Anyone who wants can add me on Steam as well. Having some day-one [del]bodyguards[/del] buddies would be fun.

it sounds like you guys just want a current-day L.A. Noire 2
I want the next GTA to have the story start in the countryside and not make you go to the city until after a few hours of gameplay
